LUA completely broken in Hearthstone?

I'm using the hearthstone repack after coming back to the emulation scene (left back in 2.4.3), and I've been ****ing around with my LUA scripts all day, thinking I was doing something wrong. I can't even get a simple SendChatMessage to work, is the LUA core broken on Hearthstone or is it the repack or am I truly retarded? If it is hearthstone, is it just HS or is Aspire as a whole using a broken LUA engine?

The latest version of Hearthstone is pretty screwed with Lua, try downloading Sun++

I wanted to release a Hearthstone Core with working LUA, but the moderators didn't approved it >.<

One other issue I'm having is new items. The icons don't show up, it's always a '?' and if it's armor I can't equip it without manually dragging it onto my character tab, and I can't enchant it. I've been using WoW-V Aspire item creator, could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

It's been like that for quite some time now, iirc (I think it's a client bug, and not a core one, but not sure at that). The question marks can be fixed by a client side addon, however I think you'll have to drag the items to equip them still. I'd upload them somewhere, but I think you should be able to find it quite easily. If not, pm me and I shall see what I can do for you.

yeah, the items were changed in 2.4.
