Possible to change creatures into playable races?

Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to change a race like troll into a Naga or Worgen race. As in making that class race completly playable. So instead of troll you'd have Naga. Here are some screenies I've seen of it. Not sure if it's actually been done though.

i think you can go into your playercreateinfo table and select the race and change the display id in there and that might do it...

Yes and no.
I'm going to explain the simple way because anything else involves lots of DBC editing, core editing and/or client editing.
Yes it's easy to change a race already made, you simple go into playercreateinfo as Ascentertnt said and change the displayid, and any stats etc for each race. You may want to change the starting location as well and such.
The bad thing is, that theres only 1-2 displayid's that are actually effected by gaer being equipped, and you would have to search around quite a lot to find them. I know the goblin one was used quite recently though. If you want the picture and actual real loading screen etc to change then thats all of what I said at the start.
