How do I 'execute' databases in SQLyog?

    Hi folks.

I am trying to set up WoWTech's 1.12.1 old school wow Mangos.

Ok, I'm stuck at the execute databases part.

    In the readme it says:

    3. Execute databases from the SQL folder.
    - Execute mangos.sql to your mangos database
    - Execute realmd.sql to your realmd database

I've tried to open the file mangos.sql file in SQLyog and then select all, and run it but nothing happens.

    What am I missing here?

Has anyone else successfully set this up?

Could you please post how to do so, so that anyone reading here will have access to that information.

Also, if someone else other than WoWTech knows, and could answer, that would be great!

    Thanks in advance.

I think Right click on your database and then click "Execute BAtch File" or "restore form SQL Dump" then guide to your mangos.sql or realmd.sql and click execute.

    Create 2 Db
1.Mangos - Right click on mangos db, "execute batch file" Guide to Mangos.sql, and lcick execute.
2.Realmd - Right click on realmd db, "execute batch file" Guide to realmd.sql, and lcick execute.

    *UPDATE*

Found the answer. Notepad can be used to edit the .conf files.

Now if the provided passwords work, we'll be in business.

    *****

    Great! That worked.

Now, I have .conf files but no instructions on how to open or edit them:

    4. Configure mangosd.conf with your details
    - LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;PASSWORD;realmd"
    - WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;PASSWORD;mangos"

    5. Configure realmd.conf with your details
    - LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;PASSWORD;realmd"

So how do I edit these files? Notepad? Or do they need to be opened with something else?

This should be it, it's the only 'murky' part of the instructions.

Thanks again, you've been a fantastic help!

Just go to your Config folder, and find mangos.confg, open it with notepad and edit.
    - LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;USERNAME OF YOUR CONNECTION OF MSQL. (Usually root);PASSWORD OF YOUR CONNECTION OF MSQL;Database Name where the accoutns is"
    - WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;USERNAME OF YOUR CONNECTION OF MSQL;PASSWORD OF YOUR CONNECTION OF MSQL;Database where the World files are (exm. Creatures, Npc nad etc."

Same with realmd.conf. U Can edit all the shti in repacs with Notepad and Virtual C++

Configs and sql's should be opened with Notepad. To compile the source for the core you need virtual c++.
