Invalid format error

Hey so far none of my friends have had any trouble connecting. Except one.
After he installs WoW, he can connect, just didnt get in game because he needed updates. SO he got em. Problem is now everytime he tries to conncect, it just says Invalid format. Any suggestions? Btw, he allready did a full reinstall to no avail.

Maybe it would be easier to help you if you told us which server you are running, and which patch the client he is trying to connect with has

Ive never in the entire time ive worked with private servers seen an invalid format message on an attempt to login... Can you give anymore details? Screenshot anything? Message from logon window when he attempts?

Nah this one is kinda dumb. I figured it out. That what he was telling me, "Invalid Format".
Turns out he didnt realize that the updates changed his realmlist back. lol.

SO it turns out that he just had to fix his realmlist.... again
