    Go object view distance question

Hello! after screwing around on a server for a while creating objects and what not, I have realized they dissipate when moving a relatively short distance away from them and if I can recall there is a way to change the distance they fade out from, so any chance someone would be kind enough to tell me how to do that?

    Thanks in advance.

This also helps with spawning custom game ojects. it stops npc's from falling through them

Not always true, if you spawn stormwind, then appear to it from the park area, then the npc's will go through it as they will load long before the actual gameobject. It loads depending on how far away the object is, and also loads creatures before gameobjects. Personaly I always spawn creatures 1-2 added to Z coord when on a gameobject

lol stoneharry, that was what i posted on another topic. i was the one who created a spawn point in the park in a custom SW. and yes, you and the NPC will fall through if you appear far from the center of the spawn.

heres what i noticed... i set the veiw distance to 1000. you can run through all of sw without problem. the best way to place npc's is to spawn them a foot or 2 above the surface (just to be safe). you can even add waypoints. heres the problem... should anyone log out on such a huge gobject, the farther away they are from the center of the spawn, they are more likely to fall through and take all the npc's with them when they log back in. and another thing about SW specificly, creating ports and summoning ppl far away from the center of the spawn has the same issues. in fact players wont even see SW when you summon them far away from the center.

    just my 2 cents
