    Arcemu - Mobs/Chests/Stats

Hello! I just got my server started and after fiddling with the databases/admin commands and looking through the forum i have some questions that i would be pleased if someone could answer.

I realise you can spawn mobs at any location. I however wonder if I can somehow make the spawn fixed, so that when I restart the server, they will still spawn at the same position/area. As far as I know, they will dissapear when you restart the server, is the any possibility to counter this?

I know how to make a chest with custom content, i have however not been able to find how to spawn that specific chest?

Lastly i would like to know if there is any way that you can change a characters stats and keep them changed when that character log in and out of the server.

    Thank you for your time.

If you want the spawns to stay put a 1 after it Such as .Npc spawn 11108 1

The 1 after the command makes it permanent ( this does not work with all commands just the spawn ones for objects or Npcs is most reliable)

To spawn your custom chest look for the Object ID of that chest in the DB under the Gameobject_names table and in game type .go spawn (GOID) 1

You can change the characters stats in the DB in the logon DB by manually changing say the characters hitpoints to 9999 and then restarting logon DB if you just use the .mod commands they wont stay that way no.

Thank you Kreegoth for all your valuable information, +rep to you

But im a little confused about the last one. Are you saying that there IS a way to change the stats and have the kept that way by changing in the DB? I can see that you can change the HP in the DB but i haven't found agi/str/int etc..

You have to edit certain stats in the core OR in the playercreateinfo table (for when you create a character).
Personly I find it easiest to make something uberly powerfull, like a weapon with 999999 of everything (noobish but effective) www.wow-v.com can help you with that.

I see, so in other words you can't change the stats for just one particular character right? Only what stats they will have on a certian level in general?

    Thank you for the help

    Hmm another question regarding Npc's/mobs

Can I remove npc's? Like city guards quest givers and the like?

(Thought i'd continue posting here instead of filling to forum with several posts )

Yeah good idea on the posting
You can use .npc to do various things. For example:
    .npc delete
    .npc spawn id
    .npc respawn
    .npc say
    .npc yell
    and to make it move:
    .waypoint add
etc, look through the commands: .command

Ah thank you Stoneharry i really appreciate your answers. I have a few more questions if you wouldn't mind?

Im working on an Rp server actually so this is why some of these questions might sound odd...

    1. Can i enable characters from the same faction to be able to attack each other? and can I enable speaking cross faction?

    2. Can i make custom recipies for professions? i tried browsing through wow-v but didnt find any.

    3. lastly i followed this guide http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...tch-3-x-x.html trying to make my 3.0.9 server compatible with 3.1.2 though this didnt work probably cause the the guide is outdated ^^ so my question is if there is any way to make my server compatible with the newest patch?.

Again, im thankfull for any answers i get /Hyrm

    To do:
    1. - Core edits, don't try it unless you know what your doing
    2. - A little more advanced, you cant really make custom recipes very easily but you can add the spell to learn something to a item. Will need to do this manually through items table (find a guide).
    3. - This is because 3.0.8-3.0.9 is a minor patch and requires little editing, but 3.0.9 to 3.1 is a whole new patch and has a LOT of differences. You need to find a new emulater/core that supports 3.1 (only aspire and mangos so far stabal).
    Good luck

Actually Harry, wouldn't 1 be possible through a DBC edit and change the zone type to an arena pvp zone (like Gurubashi), so everyone is PvP enabled and can attack each other?
I'm just guessing around because I haven't ever done something ilke that myself (have only done a few DBC cost edits), but I think it would be worth a try...

Would need to change every single zone to PvP in DBC's, or you change a couple of lines in core, on enter world enable Free For All flag etc
