DB question

How do I add like missing items to my DB? I know how to add items to the db the problem is that they are shown as a ? in the bag. When the developers for the db add items, how do they do so they are not shown as a ??

You have to put it as the real id of the item.
Blizzard changed it so the item display is realted to the DBC entry of the item.
So if you replace a weapon with T1 gloves, then the weapon will have the picture of the T1 gloves.
It works on entrys, find the right entry, add the item in as that entry, and it should work.

Is it any way to like modify the DBC files so it gives a custom ID a working display id even in bag?
Without removing any pre existing item

Its not editing DBC files. There is an add-on that does it.
