    Blue Screen Crash in Northrend

    - For some reason it wont let me update my other post, so im gonna repost it here. -

Ive been working on my server for a while, and ive had a few up in the past back before mangos and ascent, before tbc even. I just started trying to make a WotLK server and ive been having one major problem. Whenever I go to Northrend, I get a blue screen and my computer crashes. Its only outdoors too. I can go all through Dalaran, it works perfectly. But as soon as I try to leave the city, it crashes. Same with going to Utgarde, when I leave the keep, it crashes. Im running 3.0.8 and the AC Web Ultimate Repack. Ive tried 6 different repacks and tried 3.0.3 through 3.0.9. Nothing seems to work. Ive extracted all the maps and vmaps, and didnt change any configurations besides realm name and rates. Anyone else have this problem at all? Im completely stumped as to whats wrong.

Oh and another issue while im at it, none of the instances work either..im currently on AC Ultimate with 3.0.8 and whenever I enter an instance, it loads and shows the instance for a few seconds..then it loads and it kicks me out to the entrance. No matter how many times I enter, it keeps doing that.

**Ok, well I tried downgrading from 3.0.9 and patching up to 3.0.8. I tried both versions of 3.0.8, still no luck at all. I re-extracted all maps and vmaps as well again and did a clean install of both WoW and the server. Still no luck. Its only outdoors in Northrend. The error on the screen is the usual blue screen crap..

"A Problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer."

then it goes on about if this is the first time restart blah blah blah. the technical information that shows up is this.

    Technical Information: *** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

and thats all I get. Everything works fine besides the outdoor areas in Northrend, i mean cmon..I cant be the only one with this problem am I? Please help if you know anythign at all, Im completely clueless to what could be wrong..

Last i heard repacks wasnt all upto date with the Wotlk extras, maybe the repacks just dont have the data in them for outside of the cities.

It isnt because of the patch, you are getting an error most likely due to that fact that you are using a ton of Ram, with map packaging. Going into northrend or just running wow... Could you please tell me how much ram you have and also i would run a system windows hardware test.

Yeah, honestly I thought exactly the same, the only reason I dont think thats it..is because I dont hear anyone else talking about it. Not a single person. Everyones talking about scripting WotLK instances and spawning the areas..so I think its working for plenty of people =(

The min spec for wotlk is 1gig of ram, so looks like darksid got it in one, if your running WoW along with other apps and what not, its too much for your comp to handle.

You can't just 'increase' your RAM out of thin air. You will need to purchase some ram from somewhere. Depending on your computer, you might not have any RAM Expansion slots left either. (Like mine :/)
This has nothing to do with the emulator btw

Depending on your motherboard depends on what size and how many you can get, Most comps now are DDr2 and have atleast 2 Ram slots imo buy the biggest you can get 2x2G cartridges should be enough lol, Dont buy from Ebay has alot of faulty comp parts are sold on there, best bets PC-World, Currys shops like that.

Ok thanks, I will. And one more question, maybe someone can help me with it. It wont load WotLK instances. I zone in, it loads and I see the instance, then a few seconds later, it loads again and im outside =/ Any idea why that is?

Don't just go out and buy a 2GB stick of RAM, DO RESEARCH FIRST!!! not all RAM will work!! find out how many pins your slot is and itf its SDRAM, DDR, DDR2 or DDR3, and find out the type like DDR400(PC3200)
