2 realms

I have seen varies post regarding realms but i cannot get mine right, i have got the two different worlds working but for some reason the realms wish to share the charectors off realm one even though in realm 2 conf i have charectors db set to realm 2

Realm one is in seperate folder which runs the logon and realm 1 world
Realm 2 is in a folder copied from realm 1 but has had the conf edited to run off realm 2 Note i do not run logon in realm 2 folder

Any good guides anyone is aware of?

Your post was a little difficult to understand :/

Let me get this straight:

You've got two folders on your computer containing the two realms. For realm one's folder, you run ascent-world and ascent-logon. For realm two's folder you're running ascent-world.

In ascent-realms.conf:
Realm 1 has:

<Realm1 Name = "Brock's first realm"
        Address = "brock-wow.game-host.org:8129"
        Icon = "PVP"
        Population = "1.0"
        TimeZone = "1">

Realm 2 has:

<Realm1 Name = "Brock's second realm"
        Address = "brock-wow.game-host.org:8130"
        Icon = "PVP"
        Population = "1.0"
        TimeZone = "1">

In ascent-world.conf for realm2:

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "brock-wow.game-host.org" Username = "root" Password = "password" Name = "ascent2" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "brock-wow.game-host.org" Username = "root" Password = "password" Name = "logon2" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

And in your database you have the following tables:

ascent
ascent2
logon
logon2

That's how it should be set up... post here if you need more help.

Just a small correction, don't connect to your mysql server using your domain. 127.0.0.1 is just for that.

You'll want:
2 worlds,
2 character DBs,
1 logon DB.

hmmm i have done the above but when i click on the realm it wont let me into it, says logging into game server but then bounces back to realmlist menu. Any ideas?

What repack? There have been some problems with the newer repacks and navicat, heidi etc
