You ascent users shouldn't post here at all. No offense, but we don't need your lua scripts anyway, so stop wasting your time posting useless posts like this. Just get it, the server has choosen MaNGOS for a reason, because it has less bugs and better stability. In a programmer's point of view that's a FACT, not an opinion. Since the server is aiming for 100% blizzlike, changing to ascent would be a huge disadvantage and the server would be exactly like the rest of all the servers with admins who cares more about the GM commands than the actual gameplay.

If you want to be a developer on a pretbc server but mangos is too difficult for you then look somewhere else and don't post here. Maybe I sound rude but I'm tired of people who spam useless posts as soon as someone creates a thread like this.

And by the way, when I say "ascent" I mean any of the ascent derivatives, not only "ascent" so don't comment on that detail.

Wouldn't Lua scripting make blizzlike instances much simpler? I may completely wrong when it comes to this, but it seems like a good way to script instances.

This is no advertisement, There are many other sites other sites to do such
In my opinion there is nothing wrong promoting my project to make people interested developing on it
and thats what this forum is for isnt it
If you have nothing to contrubute, fine by me, but shuch then will you?


At the moment we run on windows XP, when we go dedicated (when depends on contract and amount of members) we will run on win2003 server ent.
