Hey, I was wondering.. could someone explain me, once and for all, how to use MySql (I use SQLyog, hope they're the same thing). Now I already started my own server, got it all up and running. A bit of a problem with the level cap, but 'twas nothing.

Now, why I wanted a new one, was because the bosses were not scripted (or something like that, they just auto-attackd me, no spells or nothing). So I did the thing every sensible person would do, searched Google for "HALP!!1 MY BOSSES AUTO-ATTACK!!!" and it came up with this: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulator-questions/172258-endgame-raid-boss-fights-scripting-finding-best-emu.html.

Clicked the second link (which I wouldn't have done if I hadn't had an account here (for some strange reason)), aka this: http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulator-server-releases/168386-release-speical-wow-package.html.

Downloaded the thing, put the maps to the wow, ran the ad, put em' back. Same thing with the last server (Panex, if anyone cares). Now, I figure that it would be the same as with my last one, I go, log in... not so fast! WTF is the username? or pass?... With the Panex one I followed a guide from Youtube, user and pass were already there. (Could a professional coder-nerd please figure out what the user and pass would be?)

Also, I thought (simultaneously) that I should make use of the SQL's that are provided, and the malls and custom vendors. So I thought, how hard could it be, opened my SQLyog (which I had installed for no apparent reason) and made a connection. One of the readme's contained the MySql user and pass (root and ascent), so I inserted them. Made a connection, oped up with some.. stuff on the left side of the screen.

My real question is... how do I insert the .sql's that are in the package I downloaded, and where do I insert them to work, also, where do I click after inserting them and what do I do then?

First Sqlyog is a tool for you to manage your Mysql Database where all the data of the server is on.

About the user and password would probably be something like admin admin or something like that, if not open your Sqlyog go to your logon table on the left side expand it, then expand where says tables, select accounts and on the right side click on the tab #3 Table Data and there you'll see the accounts that are created.

About Executing a sql file, right click on the database that you are going to edit, select Restore from sql dump, look for your sql file and click execute and voila!!!!

Make sure you execute the correct file to the correct database, that would be common since, if you are gonna put in some vendors you want to execute it to your world database....etc

I agree on you erebos, just a little note. Sometimes SQLyog doesn't work sometimes executing. While Navicat does(Search google for Navicat and you will sure get a DL link or something), in Navicat to execute .Sql files, just simply right-click on the DB, and ofcourse make sure its the right one, And click Execute batch file. Look up the .Sql file you wanted to execute and hit the Execute button. Hope you find what yah lookin for.
