[Help] How do I change my ArcEmu DB password?

Hello,

I want to know how can I change the password to DB for world and logonserver?
I tryed but it didn't work.
Help would be nice.

On repacks they have there own made password and I want to make mine public soon so I dont want hackers getting into the Database.

reconfigure your mySQL server instance

Start > all programs > Mysql > Reconfigure instance

First of all, they wouldn't be able to get into your DB considering its set for localhost. But you can do it through Navicat. Just go into the big users button at the top and enter all of the info.

Thats what I was talking about. But your configuration files are what is telling your console to connect to the DB. So if you set up a new account on your navicat (Which is where your DB is) and then put that password into your configs it will work.

yeh yo need to reconfigure your MySQL server as well otherwise that wont work and navicat will be inaccesable

Not if done right. If you make a new account it will be fine. You can still access it from the original password, and the new account can be for the server. Although.. I'm not exactly sure why your doing this in the first place.

If you see the part where it says "Host" and it should say "Localhost" there.. which means only the Localhost can connect.. which is you.

But what if I am renting a server where it is located somewhere else and I want to let other admins and myself connect to the database?

Well use the original password and stuff for your actual server. Then in navicat, goto add users and select create new account. Put in a Username, for host leave it blank (if that doesn't work put in a %) put in a password and press ok. IT creates the new account, and you can change the permissions and stuff. Then just give that to your other admins and they can connect with that info.

so when I make it public thru DynDNS.com I just put that host I crated for DB login under host name/ip address for other admins and myself?

lol yeh but you still need to reconfigure your MySQL server instance or you will not be able to connect through ever the ammount of accounts you make trust me i know im 100% right on this case
