My Updates & Update News Info

When logging on to WoW, Blizzard shows "urgent news" on the left side of the login screen.

Is there a way I can customize this text to announce my own news for my server?

I figure I'd need my clients to change the patch link in the realmlist.wtf (it's a guess) but how would I get the update news to them?

Could I also provide the patches for the WoW Client so when connecting to my server if a patch was available those connecting to it would be able to download it?

now that is only clientside, so you'll probably have to tell people to go into their hosts file and redirect their laucher to your webhost. for them to see it too(not sure if that will work tho...) u can try

Not really to do it for all the players you have that connect.. but you might be better off having an announcer NPC that announces News as you could alter that on a daily basis if you wanted to. just have the NPC in the start areas

I might be able to work something out with the information you guys provided.

I guess when the site's up and running I can have the front page a blog with the breaking news too, seems to be a popular idea.

Nice to have it right there when you log in too.
