4GB RAM is acceptable, what's your internet speed? It's the most important part, Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test post the results you get.
Take the speed test like Yamaajee said. I have 4GB RAM also, plus 2.51 GHz, but since my internet connection speed was so bad, people said I could probaly support 20 people. >_<
So the speed test is the ultimate test to see.

Thing is that I want to upgrade my connection ... but I don't know exactly for what speed to ask my Internet Service Provider to upgrade for my server to be able to hold like 200-300 users, and I'm curious ... with this speed that i have now how many users ...
ps:I have quad core 2.4 GHz - (9600 GHz) if I'm correct.

People are probably gonna say around 10 with no lag.. if that.. The best thing you can do is open it up get players on it and see how many before it lags to much.. To be honest with you there isnt much point in doing so until you upgrade.. If you wanna have 200-300 users your probably going to be wanting the BEST DL UpLoad rates you can get whereever you live
Uhh yeah. 10 people at the most >_<
I have around 7k and they said 20 for me.
One more thing if you already had that q6600 please do yourself a favor and overclock that beast, you can get 3.2Ghz per core or more depending of the step family you got, plus like everyone I advice to upgrade to the best connection you could afford.
