Need help portforwording plz

Ok i have a WRT54G Linksys router and i have opened all the ports i need for my server but when i go to a web site and test to see if the ports r open it says they r closed. I have disabled my firewall, i have changed to a static ip so it doesnt change, i have DMZ enable to my ip, i have had a server up public before but that was on a netgear router so idk if i am doing something wrong that u have to do diifrently with linksys router, so i just dont know what to do any more some one plz help me!

Just an FYI thats the same router i have and ive been working to get it portforward those ports and having the same results for like a year.. Tried various programs that are not compatible with it and tried almost every option in the router.. To be quite honest with you i think its something in the router that doesnt allow it to work. My advice.. Buy a different router..

have you tryed updating the firmware? cause i am going to try that and see if it might fix it

lol ya cause i have like version 1.0.2 and i think they r like up to 3.0 something haha but i have to wait till my dad goes to sleep so i can mess with the router
do u know if like when i back up the setting and reset the router to defult, if i restore it with the back up will every thing go back to like how it was and make it look like nothing happend? lol cause i dont want to reset it and have it not be back to how it was i would be screwed if that happens lol

well i updated the firmware to the latest one and still doesn't work :/
