You could probably host about 30-50 players with that connection.
If you got a machine that can handle it of course ;p
Ehh wouldn't say quite that many, more around 20-30.
And yes, it definitely also depends upon the machine running the server... could you post the specs?
Also, didn't Comcast recently implement a monthly cap? I'm not sure how much it is but you might want to check up on that as well.
Oh, well now I feel like my computer = fail.
here are my specs.
20-30 people..
Maybe I shouldn't run a server. Wow, working on my server was a complete waste of time.
sent you a pm
Well if you receive donations spend it on upgrades on the connection and computer hardware, you could hold more people.
Its kind of Foolhardy IMO Warlockian to simply give it up that easy.. Put your server online and stress test it and find out for yourself where your limits are..
Then youll know.
Well, i am very sorry
Lulz. Don't give up that easily. Just keep taking in people intill they start complaining about the lag. And also watch out for bandwidth use. My ISP nailed me with a 600$ because I over used it.
Gahh! i hate bandwidth
I'm going to wait on making a private server. I going to get a upgrade soon, then I will do the same test and see how it goes.
Nope im just asking a question
I never said I didn't have money to upgrade. We don't need your negativity.
