Applying Custom Gear

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to add custom gear to a custom npc? and if so how?

I have been trying to figure it our, but I cannot figure out if it will need to be coded or if I can do it straight from the database.

any help would be greatly appreciated !!

Well are you trying to add it to be dropped of a mob? or add it to be sold? if your trying to add it to be dropped it can be done through the creature_loot table in the database once your exploring it or with a FDE (modified by flex - ascent database editor) (*if your using Arcemu or ascent) If you trying to add it to a Vendor just add it to database and then in game type .NPC vendoradditem (id#ofitem) (amount)

You can also remove a item from a vendor if you want. The code for that is;
.npc vendordeleteitem (item ID) (specific amout)

I actually guess, he mans adding it as equippment to the NPC, so to change the appereance of it. As far is i know, this is not possible, cause the npc is stored as a model, so you would have to make modelchange.
