Ascent 2.3.3+ Server Setup With Pics

um hey guys looks like all goes well except 1 thing
when i go to Batch the ascent file it says to me in about 4.281s it finished and says

[Err] 1074 - Column length too big for column 'regex_ignore_if_matched' (max = 255); use BLOB or TEXT instead
[Msg] Finished - Unsuccessfully

plz help??

this why it just says connecting then instantly says unable to connect??

yes it is. its not going to be free depending on how you want it to be. it could cost up to $500.00 a month. you also want a host with lots of memory for your server and fast connection. also you would want a dedicated host which is more $$$$. Some hosts will charge you extra for a website. try not to get that. its not as easy as it looks to make it non-hamachi public + you need a lotta time on ur hands.

Did u make sure you Executed it to the right DB? put the character SQL file in the ascentlogon and make sure thats done first. then put spdb4 in ascent. and if that doesnt work ask spartansp for v1ctory.

Hello, I got a problem startin the server. When i start realmserver.exe it says 'sql: Connection failed. Reason was 'access denied for user "moocow" @ "localhost".

I haven't typed "moocow" anywhere, how do I make this right?

First off. you dont start realmserver. you start ascent-logonserver. and when it says hooking signals click on ascent-world. dont start anything else. :wave:

you need mysql 5 enterprise and navicat 8 and that error should go

yes its a dedicated host but take note its not the same as a website cuz websites hosts doesnt allow to execute .exe files just transfer some things into the FTP client so you need a dedicated host for that and they are between 200 bucks to 500 the best ones :P

Everything works fine except when I try to log on with the right PW/Username at the login screen , I'm getting a connection error? (ie. Stuck @ Handshaking/Authenticating) :\ then if I try and reconnect the box where it usually says "Connecting/Authenticating/Handshaking/etc" is blank...and nothing happens. Any suggestions?

my server has been stuck at handshaking dose that mean i did something wrong or should i just restart the server some how

Ya mine just stops at Logging into server. I used my own dyndns and it use to work for me a long time ago and i tried it with this repack and no luck. any ideas?

for all people that stays in loggin or handshaking try first with 127.0.0.1 if you get it fine with 127.0.0.1 its something about your no-ip dyndns or whatever... if you are using 127.0.0.1 in configuration then there must be something in config files that you have wrong

is this guide for 2.3.x or 2.4.x if its for the 2.3.x then how do i downgrade??

Hey I get a error when I try to use logonserver..when I double click it says MSVCP71.dll was not found. REe-installing the application may fix this problem. Anyone know wtf is going on?
