Ascent 2.3.3+ Server Setup With Pics

Hi all

kk got the server working perfectly..
did the installation did the updates of which i got a few small errors
and fixed the questlog.

i have like 1 or 2 little problems
mounts and flying mounts dont work.
(When i mount it shows in the top right that i am mounted but my character is not mounted.)
(when i use a flying mount does the same thing but instead of not doing anything when i jump i start flying like when using ".cheat fly" i double checked to ensure its not active. and i can apparrently mount more than one mount it shows i am mounted on 2 mount when i click another mount.)

and neither does the arenas work.

can anybody help me with this..

Hello, I got a problem startin the server. When i start realmserver.exe it says 'sql: Connection failed. Reason was 'access denied for user "moocow" @ "localhost".

I haven't typed "moocow" anywhere, how do I make this right?

hey dude you not suppose to run the realmserver.exe
you first run the ascentlogon.exe till you see "hooking signal"
once you see that then you should run the ascent.exe thats it once that starts up it should show you quite a bit of script then connected to realm server and you realm name once you see that you should be able to connect to the server

hey i have a prob with the logonserver everytime i try to start it it says access denied for user username @ localhost using password yes........can you help me out please

hey dude you not suppose to run the realmserver.exe
you first run the ascentlogon.exe till you see "hooking signal"
once you see that then you should run the ascent.exe thats it once that starts up it should show you quite a bit of script then connected to realm server and you realm name once you see that you should be able to connect to the server

Alright thanks, but now I got another problem, yesterday I could log in to my server, but today i only get "connected" or "logging in to game server"
I must have messed up some of my conf files? :confused:

Nice repack, got everything working fine. Just a few quick questions though.

As someone else already posted a few pages ago a lot of the "." commands don't work. Like .levelup I get a message saying. There is no such command. Or you do not have access to it. My gm flag under accounts is set to AZ so I'm not sure why these commands are not working.

Also the mobs don't move ingame.

Thanks for the guide, it really was very simple to follow and it all works great for me. (apart from a few small things)

As a few people have stated in the thread already, I am also having issue using certain GM commands.

I found that .modify level <level desired> works to level up, I can use all other modify commands fine like hp etc.

Teleporting took a bit to figure out but now thats easy.
To teleport, the command is .recall port orgrimmar (will take you to orgrimmar)
for places with 2 words in the name like Zul'gurub just type it like .recall port zulgurub


All learn skill spells etc work for me fine, money works etc etc
.additem works fine with anything.


Now the only thing I cant get to work is the revive command if I die, it just says that I cannot chat while Im dead. The revive command I am trying to use is .revive

Does anyone have any ideas on a different command to use or can point out what Im doing wrong?

already answered before mate V3 of my repack was hving that error try downloading my repack V4 it has a lot more things and also has mounts fixed

you dont need to execute realmserver.exe

configuration files are wrong check them and also check your mysql configuration

thanks you im glad you like my repack also try my V4 it has new things in there BTW the commands changed .levelup doesnt exist anymore now its .mod level also .morph is no longer that way now its .mod displayid

ya im having a problem. after i run all the stuff. i try to log in to it on wow. and its stops and says "Logging into game server" but it does nothing but keep taking me bak to were it shows me teh list of realms.
