i did run it in c++ but it doesnt add the LUA into scripts tortoise says its version 3792 however the folder is labeled 2_8 and the conf files are 27xx

That means you are using Ascent Revision 3792, the folder being labeled 2_8 means nothing.

I am assuming you ticked Head Revision, or just left it at default.

Also... I hope you made a scripts folder in Release and you put your Lua Scripts there.

Because that may very well be your problem.
