Ok Some of you people i dont get because all you have to do is get the new maps for 2.3 i dont think you can use ascent maps you will need to find out were the ad.exe file is that we need to get into wow!!!!! P.S. i got into my character select screen and when i try to logon it doesnt work because of the maps are incorect!!!!

i keep having this problem with every1 of these server guides i dl everything then i get something saying that the root@localhost is denying access and it wont let me make an account for this 1 on others it either wouldnt download at all or has a problem after getting about half way through the dling and set ups

And for the poster above me, you have that error because you have a MySQL running already. Turn off your MySQL server, and start the one in MaNGOS Server Control.

I am getting the usuall "stops on connect bug". When i downgrade to 2.1.3 it works though. Makes me wonder if this really is 2.3...

lol i host a server on this and its 2.3

This is 2.0.8 MaNGOS server, not 2.3.0
if u have higher version it will only come a error when u logg in

Download and compile your own MaNGOS from the SVN. This is an old repack, which is gay. If you want real satisfaction do it the official way or if you want headaches just find an outdated MaNGOS on torrent trackers.
