GUIDE - Ascent 2.3.x Server w/ Mafiaboy's Repack

Last night everything was running nicely. I just logged on to my pc and ran navicat, and it says "Access denied for root@localhost". I have not changed anything since yesterday. Do i need to run a program to start up the mysql server, as i have already configured it last night. Please help. Thanks

It says I have to buy navicat, Trial is grayed out and I can't click it, what I do ?

Having trouble at the navicat part when you begin to execute batch file from ascent9. As soon as it begins theres always an error. Any ideas on what happened?

Server works fine. Thank you mafiaboy Couldn't get the latest ascent to work, but this one does. Just one question. How do I remove the teleporters to the mall (as in, if I dont want my players to have access to that unless I teleport them there myself...)

Hey there is there any chanse that someone could help me with creating a private server? cause i have 1 problem! the part where iv done everything with MySQL and i click Execute it Errors at "start service" and has a text "Could not start the service MySQL.Error:0"
i would rly appreciate your help

Ok so i have putted the server live now.. And a friend tried to connect. Im useing hamachi... He loggs in and tries to connect to the real via realmlist thingy. Then u just get kicked back to the realm list...

If i type \r in the MySQL console it says database*******NONE********
and when i start the logonserver.exe it says: connecting to MySQL database and then it crashes... Hope you can help me

well......how about going in with navicat/sqlyog and make an database

When i go to download SQL it birngs up an error screen saying This installation package could not be opened. Contct the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

Great guide! only i did everything and it all worked out good. but when i try to log in it says connecting and then unable to connect. Please respond when u get a chance.

Edit: never mind i fixed it. I just needed to open all the databases on navicat. thank you so much i have been trying to get a server for months and now with this great guide i finally have one. Easily the best guide. I'd give u +rep if i could. one question though, when my navicat trial runs out will i still be able to use my server?
