heey dude plz help me the server starts up well and logging in isn't the problem but when I create a character ands logging I got a error when it's done plzzzz help.

p.s. this is my firast ascent server I already created Antrix and Mangos.

u have probably downloaded patch 2.3, 99% of private server dont work with 2.3... you have to wait for the next repack to come out

the only problem was it shouldnt have been in the desktop as i wanted it in but in C: blahblah

Contact your application publisher for instructions on obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET framework."

i couldnt get my friend to connect to my server... even tho i did what your guide said.
im gonna do everything step for step again but how in the ****ing hell am i supposed to get it connrect to my external ip when it cant? its like my ISP modem for my broadband or whatever is blocking my connection.

This is a great Guide and it worked for me. I had a few friends playing on it. But I messed up one of the files and had to do it over. Now for some reason they can't get on. But i got my laptop and my desktop and both can connect. Meaning it's not my ports. It is the right Database since I can log on there accounts as well as mine. Since I can connect on my laptop (a remote source) It also means it's not the realm lists, even though when ever they log on, it doesn't let them on, it just keeps going back to the Select Server page. On the CMD/Ascent document it doesn't say they've Athenticated either. I've done everything I could think of. If you could help I will def +rep when I am able to.

Hey i have made a server in the past and this one looks cooler so i thought id try it. Well first off when i click launch server in step 2, 4 windows pop up then 2 go away in like 5 seconds, then the one on front sais, unable to connect to mysql, succesfully exited, press any key to cuntinue. Then when i try to log on it sais unable to connect. So when that happened i thought i may have to have navicat, so i got it then when i tried opening a connection it said "1014 access denied for user root@localhost (using password: yes) then nothing happens. Oh and btw when i tried opening mysql with the control panel, it sais "cant start server: bind on TCP/IP port: invvalid argument" then it said if i already had a mysql with port 3306 on my comp, which i did, but i thought i uninstalled, but for one thing that was in the mysql folder that sais "do not have permission to delete". This seems to be a difficult problem to solve, so if u can plz post soon.

if you want to import sql files, go onto heidiSQL and go to import and click import SQL file then browse 4 it

realm loop, if you havnt got 2 realms in your realmlist, put another... have you done your hosts.file too? if you still cant fix it, reinstall the database

god you suck, u dont know anything about ascent, i cant help you if you dont even name the programs that close and the one that says the error >.< dont even bother posting if ur gunno be so stupid, and when you connect to navicat you need mysql.exe running and that mysql problem, doesnt mean u have to uninstall mysql, man, read the guide >.<
