What Obex meant when he said "Then Update" was to manually update wow (because after repairing it, wow will downgrade) The reason you have to downgrade then upgrade wow is because most servers don't run on the latest patch, and if you have the a patch version higher then the servers you can't play on that server it will say something like unable to validate game version when you try to log in

he is correct also if you have a problem tell me what it is such as when you try to log on you get invalid info popup

This is great info. Can any of you guys suggest any private servers to connect to? I'd like to test-drive some nice gear and other items so I'd like to get onto a site where the GM was liberal or was willing to give me GM as well. I dunno. thoughts?

Nice guide Obex, some time back i didn't even know how to join
a server in till i asked my friend were has was the
past 3 hours and he was like "Private Server" I was just like
"Holy Sh*t" how do you join one

I liked your guide. I messed up by switching the WTF files from the hackpatch to the WoW program. So now, I'm redoing everything.
hopefully, I can get everything running smoothly, and I'll probably be asking moar questions later lol. (j/k hopefully)

When I open WOW and I type in my user account from the ps it says the info you have entered is incorrect. I did everything you said, but it still wont work. Please hel me
