Unfortunatly no, If you want people to see the cost client side you will have to give them a client side patch with the dbc file in.
That kinda is the bad side to it, But I suggest you add a quote on the item with the cost or something if you cannot let your players download a patch

It doesn't seem to be working for me, if I were to edit JUST item ID of an existing ExtendedCost ID, without modifying anything else, would that work? And also, that would mean that my players wouldn't have to download a patch right?
