You posted a link at the end of the guide how does that explain you have to install RivalDB if you are completely new to WoW private servers and when you already have a section in your guide for setting up and running a database that doesn't even mention it?

I can't blame the world database if it's not the world database guide that I've followed, it's yours which doesn't work even after 3 attempts, be it whether it's the fault of the database or not, maybe you should add a clause in your guide stating that sometimes the guide may not work because of third party updates so others don't waste their day following a guide that doesn't currently work just like I have.

I will update the guide to include installation of a world database. But yeah, I mean sorry mate. Took me 3 weeks to get my first REPACK up So I feel your pain. Thanks for the suggestion.

I got my server up and running! Thank you for this great guide. I have one last problem and I'm not sure what is causing it, paladin aura's are showing all ranks on the aura hotbar. Is there any way to fix this?

I had a good rest, and updated WoW to the latest patch 3.1.3 and decided to give this one last shot, now I suffer other problems, when starting hearthstone_world.exe I get the following errors:

I googled that error, and everywhere I looked it pointed to me using a WoW patch that the server doesn't support, yet at you state that it does so what gives?

You are using the branch correct (branches/3_1_0) with the 3.1.3 DBCs correct? Many people I have talked to have used 3.1.3 DBCs on the trunk, and the trunk is only 3.0.9.

Actually 3.0.9 is the trunk. Post your dump And haha your the only one with issues. I have a giant feeling it is something simple :P

I'm guessing the reason is the missing database tables if you look at the code I posted, but why are they missing?

I had this same exact error. What I did was delete everything I had done (except for Visual Studio) and redid the whole entire guide, from svn checkout to setting up my db, using the "branch/3_1_0" folder instead of the "trunk" folder. Now my server is up and running great.

after you install the RDB files via the .bat ;; go into navicat or Heidi etc and do the aspire world /char/logon updates in order - remember don't do the updates before the prefix #-
