I dont get what were doing with the hosts file, i have the info put it but it says i dont have permissons to save, so i just saved the .txt file to my desktop, am i doing that part right?

Make sure you have .Net Framework 3.5

I followed your guide, and everything works fine.

I can have my friends connect, an I've got them as GM's, but for some reason, The Burning Crusade content isn't working, and can't be accessed, and by proxy The Wrath of the Lich King too.

I was wondering if you had encountered this before, and knew what to do.

Hey i have a small problem i think... i have found the map in C:System32driversetc and then Hosts and i have added it at the bottem of the file in notepad but it gives me an error when trying to save the file it say's.....

cant make the file C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts i have no idea why... Plz Helpzz Mee :wave:

.. why do you open these ports in your guide? they are nowhere in the configs..

read the guide better... its in youre router if u have one u need to forwerd these in order to get youre server online or els no one will be able to connect.. there is a site in the guid if u dont know how to do it.. to connect to youre router its most of the time a standard ip like mine is 192.168.1.1 hope it helped out there m8..

no it didnt, those ports make no sense.. what do they open for players? i've seen it nowhere in the configs, i know what they mean, but i dont understand why to open these ports because i dont know what they open.. logonserver? worldserver? realmserver?

its youre Ip they have to connect to right? u put youre Ip in the configs... but! youre router is blocking anyone from comming in.. its basicly blocking youre ip to a certen extent... ( at least.. thats how i think 'bout it dunno for sure im no computer expert ) when you open those ports that he say you must open.. those part will become availible for friends.. people.. anyone u want to connect to youre server and it probably opens up youre Logon,Realm and World servers all those ports but then again, im no computer expert so i could be TOTALY whrong.. xD but i think im right tho..

Duplicate entry means the Entry ID is already used, try a different one.
My connection problem had nothing to do with the ports btw,
6112 - 6112
6881-6999
3036 - 3036
8050 -8050
are just totally unnecesairy.
