How to make your server public with hamachi!

here is my guide to make your server public with hamachi

for those without a private server here is the link for my wotlk v3.08 guide:

Anyway here we go

go to https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/list.asp





















I had already created my hamachi account and therefore cannot restart the process but i'm sure it shouldn't be too hard to figure out :P

click the triangle on your hamachi menu which you can see on the images i have provided, after that just follow the rest of the instructions below






Now to do the config files then your done!

Go to your private server folder in c drive or wherever it is and go into the main core folder called arcemu or something around those lines depending on what you use, but whatever you go into, it should have the folder called configs, go into configs and open arcemu-logonserver.conf with notepad and search for this

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent"
AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/24"
AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/24">

change the AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/24" to the number at the top of your hamachi
so mine would be "AllowedIPs = "5.67.182.153/24" (scroll up a bit for an example of my number, and for those people who want to get on my server, good luck getting the password and even if you did i don't have a server with that hamachi anyway haha :nyahnyah: ye urm.. back to the guide

now go into your arcemu-realms.con and search for this


<LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">

change it to

<LogonServer Address = "your hamachi ip"
Port = "8093"
Name = "Default Logon"
RealmCount = "1">

the same number as above

scroll to the bottom of the realm.conf and change

<Realm1 Name = "Freemaison's Fun Server"
Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

to

<Realm1 Name = "Freemaison's Fun Server"
Address = "your hamachi ip:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

again the same number, always the same number and don't change anything but what i say! also remember to save haha

now your done all you need to do is change your realmlist in local disk c/programfiles/worldofwarcraft/data/engb/realmlist.wtf open it with notepad and change set realmlist bla bla bla to set realmlist *your hamachi ip*

for your friends to join! have them download hamachi click the triangle to join your network and put in the excact name (including caps or not) and the password then have them change their realmlist to your hamachi ip and bang there you go if you get any problems let me know i'll be willing to help
