is this a blizzlike server or a fun server? I'm not seeing any clear mention of the type in the original post.

This is for both.... it works for both. its arcemu.
but i recommend only changing the MaxBuild to the 9551 without using the update pack. if its funserver then use the guide.

Because this pack is for FunServer.
If u put it in a Blizzlke Emu folder your server may crash.

When i try to log onto a character it goes to the loading screen and fully loads then goes back to character selection and says, "Login Failed". I think i got the wrong core, any suggestions?

If you got arcemu then follow the guide.
If you use Ascent (AC-Web) Then open the server folder and place them where the arcemu-world.exe and arcemu-logonserver.exe
also this pack is for FunServer.
If you want arcemu blizz to 3.X.X then you only have to move the DBC files and change the maxbuild.

Im using Arcemu and followed the guide but I guess somethings different with my repack. Is there a way I can transfer my custom items, quests, npc's, etc. to a new repack?

Yes you can convert the tables over to SQL files.
If you use HeidiSQL then right click on world and click export as SQL.
Then wait for it to get done (this may take some time).
Now run the SQL file through the New server DataBase and your stuff is transferred to the new DataBase.

If its NaviCat then open the world DataBase. now right click world and click on Dump SQL file.
When its done run it through the new DataBase and your done its pretty easy.
