Extremely detailed guide for a WOTLK Private Server v3.08

Thanks for all your hard work on this! I have gone through the entire setup and the logon and world server start up fine. I changed the realmlist to point to my IP.

I am getting an error when trying to logon:
"Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program....blah blah....blizzard.com....articleId=21031"

I made sure my client was 3.0.8 not .9 - Anyone else had this problem?

this means you have your wow updated to the wrong patch, what patch are you using? 3.08 patch A or B( the second 3.08 patch or the first)

I have tried 3.0.1 3.0.2, 3.0.3, 3.0.8 and 3.0.9 and I still get the unable to validate version error.

Anyone had this error and were able to get rid of it and play?

How do I get it to quit repeating "knaur vs keazain a touch of heaven" in the general log?

maybe it's set as your message of the day in your configs, your world config otherwise i'm not sure haha kind of forgot

Two questions:
1) Are you planning on setting instructions for additional accounts? I want my friends to play, but they can't all login with admin, right?

2) is the only way to go public with hamachi? or can you use your external ip?

I know you are working on a more detailed guide, but I wanted to offor to others some info I used to create accounts.

Download SQLyog
Connect to MySQL DB - user 'root' pass 'ascent' (provided you set it up this way)

Select logon DB and expand
Under 'Tables' ---> accounts tab --> go to right side and click table data
There you will see the list of accounts and 'admin' should be the only one listed
You can add additional accounts there.

if you created a folder called maps in the wow directory and then double clicked ad.exe(ad.exe also being in the wow directory) and it didn't work then ye properly because you have the trial version

So i added the account to the database, but now when I run logon-server, it crashes.....the only way i can get it to run is with the single account.

also, why do the mob's have like 500K HP? How do I change that?

follow the guide i made for creating accounts it's on the main page, and i have no idea why they have 500k health lol what did you change
