Maps + Database extractor
- Made for World of Warcraft Patch 1.12.1
(( TIP: Always run realmd.exe before mangosd.exe ))
1 ) MySQL
a. Go to MySQL folder.
b. Run MySQL 5.1.exe, install it and configure it.
(When the configuration asks for a password, please make it "root")
2) SQLyog
a. Run SQLyog 6.13, and install it. (Use the KeyGen for a key)
b. Then click on "New..." and type in a connection name. (The name doesn't matter)
c. Now fill the formula like this:
d. Connect once, and then quit SQLyog.MySQL host address > 127.0.0.1
Username > root
Password > root (This is the password that you made it MySQL)
Port > 3306
Database(s) > Let it be empty
3) Database
a. Turn back to the main folder.
b. Now run the DB Installer.bat
c. The bat file will ask you for these informations:
d. When the informations are filled, then agree to import the databases.MySQL host address > Type in 127.0.0.1
Username > Type in root
Password > Type in root
Port > Type in 3306
World DB name > Type in mangos
Scriptdev2 DB name > Type in mangos
Realm DB name > Type in realmd
(This can take a while)
4) Map- and DBC Files
a. Go to "Tools" and then "Maps Extractor".
b. Copy the ad.exe to your 1.12.x World of Warcraft folder.
(Probably "C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\")
c. Then create a folder called "maps" in your World of Warcraft folder.
d. Now run ad.exe (This takes a while)
e. When it's done, please cut the maps folder into the main MaNGOS folder.
f. You won't need to make any DBC files. They're include the pack :-)
5) Configuration of Configuration files
a. This wouldn't necessary if you did follow my guide 100%
- Unless you would like to change the XP/Item rates, or the MotD.
6) Changes of free will
a. If you would love to change the realm name, then read this.
b. Run SQLyog, and connect to your databases.
c. To the left you'll see a DB called "realm".
d. Open it, and go to the table "realmlist".
e. Now select "3 Table Data".
f. Then you'll see 7 data tables.
"ID / NAME / ADDRESS / PORT / ICON / COLOR / TIMEZONE".
g. Then click on MaNGOS of the name table, and call it what you want.
h. The words you type in, will be your realm name.
i. Then click on save, and quit SQLyog.
