Guide for Mangos: Making your server public with hamachi

This works for Moffeman’s repack but should work for other mangos repack too I think. I copy and pasted some of Moffeman’s post to make this guide. I made this guide because how much I searched and couldn’t figure it out.
Install hamachi and create a network. Give your friends the name and password so they can join your network. Also be sure to change your friends realmlist to your hamachi ip.

Now open your config files and start with mangosd.conf
Look for:

DataDir = "."

LogsDir = ""

LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;database"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;database"
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;database"
MaxPingTime = 30
WorldServerPort = 8085
BindIP = "0.0.0.0"

Change each 127.0.0.1 to your hamachi ip number. ^^

Save & Close.
Open realmd.conf
Find
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;database"
LogsDir = ""

MaxPingTime = 30

RealmServerPort = 3724
BindIP = "127.0.0.1"
PidFile = ""
LogLevel = 0
LogTime = 0
LogFile = "Realmd.log"
LogTimestamp = 0
LogFileLevel = 0
LogColors = ""
UseProcessors = 0
ProcessPriority = 1
RealmsStateUpdateDelay = 20
WrongPass.MaxCount = 0
WrongPass.BanTime = 600
WrongPass.BanType = 0

Once again change each 127.0.0.1 to your hamachi ip.^^


Open navicat and click on the name of the database you made. Scroll down and click on the new section you made ( ie. Wotlk).Click on the plus in front of Tables.
Scroll down and click on realmlist. Change the ip under the Address section to your hamachi ip.
Posted by abad: Seems to me that you need to add your Hamachi IP as a user for your mysql server using navicat or something and give permission for full access to the mysql server login for your Hamachi IP because right now all that has access is your localhost 127.0.0.1 but if you add a login for your hamachi ip with full access to your mysql server it should clear up that issue.
To do this, while in navicat, click on whatever you named the connection, then click on the Manage Users button on the top. Click add user button. On user name line type root. On host line type your hamachi ip. Click ok. Click on the user you just created. Click select all. Click save. Close Navicat.
Go to your wow install folder now. Find realmlist and change the ip to your hamachi ip.
Restart MySql. Your done. Make sure mangos and hamachi are on when you want your friends to join. Also, they need to have hamachi on.

This is my first guide. I tried to attach a word document with extension docx but it said invalid file. It is much easier to read than this copy and paste. Anyways, I'm a newb leecher still and learning. If somethings wrong let me know but this works for me. Hope it helps.

Edit: You may need to forward ports in your router to the hamachi ip as well. Also disable or configure your software firewall.

I dont know why but it doesnt work for me.......i can open Arc Emu but im looking for a good tutorial to teach me how to make it at least Hamachi(the Mangos)nothing else..It says Login server down..When u make it Hamachi u dont need to port forward..Only when u want to make it public then u go..:confused:
So if u can help me thanks u for your glad guide if not NPs thanks for your try to help me

i did all this but when i run realmd and mangos.exe they crash
