OK! ive read every single damn reply and i have a problem as well as about 7 others that have repeatedly asked why they keep getting disconnected! no one will anwser??? why??? we deserve an anwser just as much as anyone else on here. so it would be nice to help us.

Yea, I'm having the same problem...The window pops up and I press start, but I can't tell if its doing anything...


EDIT: Okay, searching through the thread it seems I need to choose the correct .sql file....but i cannot find anywhere where it says which file. Can some one tell me which file, or can you add it to the guide, please.


EDIT: Okay, I found it. (To anyone who is looking for the files they are in the Database folder of the .rar you downloaded.)

I'm also getting the Error: "[Err] 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '@'@'ä
' at line 1" while executing the World file. I'm not sure what this means or if its going to effect me.

Looking ahead, however, I'm confused on how to edit the configs...:

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost - leave this localhost"
Username = "root - MySQL name"
Password = "root - MySQL password"
Name = "arcemu_logon - Database name to the Logon database"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

I'm supposed to edit it to that, and I'm assuming that i don't just copy and paste (i could be wrong) the changes. So I changed the Username and Pass to what mine are, but what would the "Database name to the Logon database" name be?

When Logon Program and World program is opened.. everything works fine.. until in the end.. Then when it loaded everything in world.exe.. then it says that the world cannot connect to Logon.exe ?.. it look like this

Hello, I'm using ArcEmu Repack and I think I'm missing a table, only beacuse I cant login into the server and in the logon control panel when it boots up says cannot connect to world_charc. Wondering if anyone can help, thanks.

umm.. map extraction procedures need to be put in here... you didn't even mention extraction maps and collision detection. Well, for those of you who are stuck at this step, befor eyou start up your shiny new server, go into the extras folder and copy the ad.exe file. Then open your wow directory, past that file there, and create a new folder called maps. (Note: you're not putting ad.exe in this folder. this folder will be empty for now.)
Now, double-click ad.exe, and the maps wil extract into the map folder. Drink a couple of cups of coffee, take a nap, and when you come back it MIGHT be finished :P anyways... when it is finished, just cut the maps folder out of the Wow directory and place them into the main server directory on your computer. Then, once you've followed the rest of the instructions above, you can start your server

make sure that in your config files the part at the very bottom that says password is the same in both arcemu-logonserver and arcemu-world.

drop your databases and redump. sounds like a database problem. Are you trying to create a Death Knight, or any class?

Remember those two things you made in your MySQL server? The ones named Logon and World?

Press ok.
Now Create two new databases, World and Logon.
Right click your logon database, and press execute batch file.

Well, we want to put "Logon" here. that is, if you followed the instructions.

You can't really update a repack. I suggest that you Google ArcEmu and learn how to compile the original. then you can update at a whim. You will need Visual Basic, Tortoise SVN, and the programs listed above to accomplish this. Not to mention the .NET framework. Learning to compile your own server can be a little intensive, but in the end you've gained a great amount of knowledge, and you don't have to rely on potentially dangerous repacks anymore!

Check your arcemu_logon.conf file. Change the

Name     = "arcemu_logon - Database name to the Logon database"

to the correct Database.

followed this guide to the letter, but when i try to log in, im stuck at Connecting.....any help?

Make sure port 3306 is open on your router / firewall.
