then aa screen pops up and asks to start when i start it nothing happens it just kinda sits there am i doin anything wrong?

And you're sure you selected the right .sql file? You click the ...-botton to browse for the file....

I am having trouble running the server. when i click on 'arcemu-logonserver.exe' or 'arcemu-world.exe' i get the following message:

C:\Wotlk Private Server\Wrath of the Lich King -Update 1\Server\arcemu-logonserver.exe (or arcemu-world.exe if i run that)

This appliaction has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.

I would be greatful if anyone knows the solution to this problem. I don't think reinstalling it will make any difference so havn't tried that yet.

Ok...When I executaed the batch file for "world", this happened..

[Err] 1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '@'@'ä

[Msg] Finished - Unsuccessfully

i am having that same problem and ive tried using logon and it still wont work im running windows vista if that has anything to do with it

logon isnt working for me ive tried both im using windows vista will that effect it?

Ok I fixed the other problem, Now do I open the files in config folder with notepad?

but I need help because whenever I try execute batch file, about 90% the way through it says finished unsuccesfully and shows quieres and says failed. I tried using 3 different repacks... I went ahead and tried to do the rest of the guide anyways but I can an error trying to open the logon server and it never comes up just a windows error message saying

this application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail.

any ideas would help, I have windows vista if that makes any difference

I'm not understanding why I'm disconnecting while I create a character. I have all my characters from my previous private server already on my account, but when I make a new one, I disconnect. I'm able to log on and play my other characters, but I can't use any admin/gm codes.

Any ideas on how I can fix those two problems?

ok at the point my world server tries to conect with the logon server it says i that the request for conection has failed with 127.0.0.1 and as result i can only log in my account but not onto a server
