[Tutorial For Making Your Private Server Public For 2.4.3]


Downloads:

Ac-Web Repack 7.8 = AC Web Ultimate Repack.exe
Net Framework 3.5 = Download Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Download
Rev 794 = Download AC_Web_Ultimate_Repack.rar OR Download Arcemu_rev794.rar

Step ONE: Installing

1. Install Ac-Web Ultimate Repack 7.8 To The Recomended Place = C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\
2. Install Microsoft Net FrameWork 3.5
3. Place Rev 794 In The Ascent Folder And Right Click It, And Click Extract All Over Write Everything.

Step Two: Dyndns

1. Go to DynDNS: DNS Hosting, Email Delivery and Other Services And Create An Account, Its Free By The Way
2. Login And Click Services, Then Manage Hosts, Then Click Add

Hostname: You Choose Then Choose The External At The Other Side, Like
example.ath.cx, Were It Say IP Address, Underneath It Click Auto Detect, Then Click Create Host

4. And You're Done With Step Two.

Step Three: Host Files

1. Go to Start.Then Run.
2. Type C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\host.txt Open It With Notepad.
4. At The Bottom Of The file Add The Following:

127.0.0.1 (Host Name)
(Internal IP) (Host Name)
(External IP) (Host Name)

(Host Name) = The Host Name / Dyndns / Realmlist Eg: example.ath.cx

Internal IP: Go To Run And A Window Will Open Up

Type ipconfig /all Then Look For The IP Address Mine Is 192.168.0.1, No One Can Hack You Buy That, That Is Your Network IP, Thats The Internal IP You Need


External IP: Just Go to What Is My IP Address? - IP Address Lookup, Bandwidth Speed Test, IP Info, plus more You Will See Your IP In Big Letters, So It Will Looks Like This For Me

127.0.0.1 example.ath.cx
192.168.0.1 example.ath.cx
546.xxx.67.xxx example.ath.cx

5. Save It And Quit It

Step Four: Port Fowarding, This Is Hardest Bit Of Making It Live -- If You Dont Have A Router Skip This Part.. If You Dont Know How To Port Foward Select Your Router Here, For A Guide On How To Port Foward

3306 (For Giving Out Database Access)

Save Settings / Changes...

Step Five:

1. Go Into C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack Folder, Rename Ascent To: ArcEmu
Then Go Into The ArcEmu Folder, And Then The Configs

2. Open arcemu-realms.conf, And Change These Settings..

<Realm1 Name = "Your Server Name Here"
Address = "Put The Dyndns Here You Created Earlier:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

So It Would Look Like This

<Realm1 Name = "DeathMasta's Really Cool Server"
Address = "example.ath.cx:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

Step Five: Logging Into Your Private Server / And Turning It Online

1. Turning It Online:

First Go Into C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Server
And Start MySQL.bat = The Database NEEDED To Start The Server
Also Start Apach.bat = If You Want To Turn The Website On

Then Go To: C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\ArcEmu
And Start arcemu-logonserver.exe
Also arcemu-world.exe ..

Then Go Into Your World of Warcraft Folder Open Realmlist.wtf
Erase It All, And Type In:

set realmlist 127.0.0.1

If You Want To Connect To Blizzard's World of Warcraft Realms, Type This In

set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com

Step Six: Friends Connecting To Your Server

Getting Your Friends To Join Your Server

1. Have Them Open Their World Of Warcraft Folder.
2. Get Them To Open Their Realmlist.wtf And Erase It All And Set It To This

set realmlist <your dyndns/server realmlist>

If Your Servers Realmlist Was example.ath.cx It Would Look Like This

set realmlist example.ath.cx

Get Them To Save It And Close It. And Reset Their World of Warcraft Client.. If They Have An Open WoW, Get Them To Close It And Re-Open.

Step Seven: Your Website

Make Sure You Have Apache.bat Open

Your Website Will Be At http://yourip
Or http://yourdyndns

Eg: http://example.ath.cx.
