[GUIDE] Ascent 2.4.3 using AC Web Repack!

Ok. I got past setting it up and all that fun stuff. What I'm having a problem with is setting it up so my friends can play on it. I WANT to use hamachi but everything I try doesn't work. Does anyone know how to set it up?

1st: Why hamachi?
2nd: If you have rooter you have to forward your ports to allow the others to connect.
3rd: in the realm.cfg you have to type your IP address. but if you don't want to show your IP you can use NO-IP stuff its very simple to use

alright, on the ascent-world.conf file, i edited all the XP rates and drop rates ans whatnot, saved it, went through all the steps of putting the files back into the Ascent folder. However, when i start up wow and play, the XP rates aren't changed at all. Can you tell me why?

hmm...

your ascent-world.cfg must be in your core folder... however you can open it ther and edit the settings . be sure your setting are saved !!

i set it to that, killed a plainstrider and got 62 XP.

i knew that couldn't be right, so i shut down WoW and server, then changed XP rate to 3,000. Killed a plainstrider, and got 62 XP again.

I have that new internet called U-verse. The modem has 4 ports on it, do you think it is read as a router? What ports do i forward instead of using hamachi?

cool repack but i have 1 BIG problem

I have already a loot of accounts and characters in my old database which is ASCENT and now with this new version of core 2.4.3 I can't use them with ARCEMU...
So how can i transform the ASCENT database to an ARCEMU database without loosing any data

You can't transfer it... since that was saved on the AC Ultimate Repack, you're now using ArcEmu. It shouldn't be that hard to make the characters on it since you're an Admin!

Sure I can make my characters but i Have 300 more ppl playing on that server so what about those characters???

And I have other arcemu for that one... not AC Web repack no offense

Yes that's true... Try 1 more thing


If you have all your cfg files completed try to move them in the CONFIGS FOLDER

I've got an issue with MySQL. I'm try to make all this work, but when I try to open MySQL, it says:

MySQL is starting with mysql/bin/cnf <console>
The system cannot find the path specified.
 
MySQL could not be started
Press any key to continue...

Can anyone help? I can't do ANYTHING until I get this working.

EDIT : I'm also using Vista, if that matters.

do you have the correct configuration of your mysql?

If not try to uninstall it and after that reinstall it again... if you have something in your data folder you can copy them in other folder and when you done reinstalling the program restor the data files...

this should solve your problem hope so :P

in control panel you have add/remove Programs you can find that there...

hello there i wanted to ask you how to fix the error that came up to me i was at when i have to run "arcemu-world" i did everything step by step everything worked until that part, when i clicked on it after doing all the steps it told me "this application has failed to start because configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the program will may fix this problem" i did reinstall it and same it didnt work pls need your help.
