I got a problem With MYSQL... When i try to run realmd and mangosd I get an error message saying "Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Acces denied for user ´root´@´localhost´<Using password: YES>

Very good post and for noobs like me i was trying to find how to open the databases
For those who dont know its like this:
step1: create the databases
step2:right click on the databases you created and click on Execute Batchfile
step3: click on the dots and find the databases on the repack file
step3,5: click on the other tab and press start xD
step4: follow the guide =P

Ok following your guide exactly, when i open mangosd.exe
MaNGOS cannot bind to 0.0.0.0:8085

and on the realmd.exe
MaNGOS realmd can not bind to 0.0.0.0:8085

of course after seeing this i figured oh ill change the Bind IP to 127.0.0.1

that didn't work i get the same error but with that IP, what am i doing wrong??

everything on the server is loading just fine its just this BIND error

i get lots of errors when executing batch files on the navicat database; anyways if i continue on with the errors there, i cant make an account to log in the server thru tha game plz help?

People expect everyone to wipe their ass. All you have to do is download the Beta, and the Repack. Read to Read-Me file. Do the Map and DBC thing after the beta installs, and then you patch the BETA ONE TIME, ONLY ONCE. Then you can use the mangos command prompt to make you an account with your own password. like create name password. Then you just change it to TBC make it flag 1 then for GM flag 3 then there you go. Most Npcs are not spawned and to leave the Deathknight place. Just read all the quests. You get a quest from the Lich King. Then run on the little yellow button, like in Naxx. It will bring you to the second quest giver. Keep doing the quests you get a Dread steed and some armor. As for the people getting the IP error. Read all of the CONF. Files and make sure they are all done correctly. I play my WOTLK on Hamachi just fine. Other can connect to it aswell. This WOTLK Repack is missing level 72-80 gear aswell. Only has FrostMourne. Doesn't have anything new sept the Deathknight and the Lich-King display ID. And a few pieces of 55 armor. The Barbor Shop is missing. And only like half of the instances are scripted and, it seems all the objects are broken. Like doors wont be facing the right direction. And some of the Death-Knight spells do not work. I have been working on the DB of my WOTLK and it is coming out good. Thank you for all your time,

Well I'm sorry that the one and only patch that was available, was a patch that was higher than the supported version of the Repack...

I'm just a little angry because i haven't gotten this to work and I'm really excited to try this out:confused:

Works fine for me. I updated it one time. Then it had a nother one then I stopped it. Then I Logged on and it played fine. But I risked it, and I updated again. It said the Patch error. Then I restored my Computer before I patched it. Worked perfectly. Then I just made a new accound, deleted the Admin account and made mine Admin. Then I let people on it. I could even get some vids
