Yeah Derge, I had this problem too, not sure how I fixed it though.

Although did you edit your configuration files before posting them? because I see the passwords change at

<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "qazxswedcv" Name = "world" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

and

Password = "root"
Name = "world"
Port = "3306"
Type = "1">

Other than that the different between my conf. files and yours are just that at every area that said "Host" or "Listenhost" I ended up adding 127.0.0.1.

I used to have the same problem. Double check to make sure that all of the ports are forwarded correctly. also make sure that you have the maps and vmaps folder in the main directory. I believe that was how I fixed my realm loop issue. Let me know if it worked or not. Just an FYI, it is easier to read if you post your config files in code brackets.

Also, could anyone send me the files that I'm missing? they are listed in my previous post.

I'm not sure if you need them, but you get it by placing ad.exe into the World of Warcraft Directory then running it, it'll take a long ass time though.

I have done that ad.exe thing but do I need to do something with that vmap extractor or vmap assembler? Cause I still cant get in.

I get an error when i launch ascent-world, It says unterminated block, ascent-realms.conf

You have to download .NET Framework 3.5 Close all running programs while installing. Good luck.

and in World.Exe-

when i open ascent-world.exe it gives a error that sais quote without variablee

and ive tried adding an extra line at the bottom still dont work

Do a checklist of everything that is required for the server.

[ ] Net Framework 3.5 is installed
[ ] Passwords are all the same
[ ] Followed each instruction
[ ] Database is correctly named
[ ] Ports all match up
[ ] Your at 2.4.2 patch not 2.4.3
[ ] Your realmlist is set to 127.0.0.1

there are more but I do not feel like typing them atm

Kilt: in navicat or sql community, or whatever database program you used, you called it world right?

Also, check the other 2.4.2 guides http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent-guides/ and look to see if other people are expieriencing your problem, it'll save time waiting for someone to post a solution in this forum
