    [GUIDE] Finding Secret Model ID's

    RAZORDEMON GUIDES

This is a simple guide to find a weapon's model ID, without using wowhead or allakhazam. This is also how i find my model ID's for secret weapons hidden in the world of warcraft. Using this guide, you will be able to find ID's of sweet weapons/armor/and shields.

Before we begin, you will need the following programs:

Ok, before we begin you'll need the following programs:
    My Warcraft Studio
    WoW Model Viewer

Step 1: First, unpack the WMViewer.rar and start up Wow Model Viewer. Once it has loaded, click on the "> Item" Tag, then open up the "Objectcomponents" tag. A list of subdirectories should now open up. In that list, Expand the "> weapon" Tag.

    Step 2:
Next, scroll down to the item named "sword_2h_ashbringer02.m2". It will most likely be highlighted in a bluish color.

Step 3: If you highlighted the correct item, then the image of the model should appear. Direct your attention to the box in the lower right hand corner called "Animation".
In this box you will see two drop-down boxes and other buttons. Look a the drop down box on the right, it should have a name along the lines of "Sword_2H_Ashbringer_A_01blue" in it. This is where we find new models of the item. Click on that dropdown box and select the option "Sword_2H_Horde_D_01Blue", you will see that the model of the item has changed.

Step 4: Here is where we locate the model ID. Unpack the MWStudio.rar and start up MyWarcraftStudio. At the top right corner you can see a little folder icon for "Open". Click on it and locate "patch_enUS.MPQ" in your data folder (located in the wow directory) If you have a different client, it will be named like "patch_enGB.MPQ".

Step 5: Once the MPQ is open, expand the folder called "DBFilesClient" by double clicking on it. Once it is open a whole mess of DBC files will appear. Scroll down until you see the one called "ItemDisplayInfo", then click on it. Once you have done so, a mini window called "Database Cache" should open up.

Step 6: Remember the name of the item we got before when we were searching through Wow Model Viewer? This is where you need to use it. In the Database Cache window, you can see a little search box with a "Find" Button next to it. In this box, type in the name " sword_2h_ashbringer02 ". Now, hit the FIND button and wait until the program is done loading.

Step 7: Once a name has been found, the number to the left of it, indicated under the column called "id" is your displayID, in this case 26451! NOTE: Make sure the model name AND the skin name are the same! Congratulations, you have just found the model id of a secret weapon skin!

Please reply if any problems you have.
Look for my RAZORDEMON GUIDES! there awesome!
