Can't "compile" my Ascent. There's no way to open the AscentVC71 file, as it's called "AscentVC71.sln" and then the "What program do you want to use to open this file blah blah blah..."
I've played a little on a mate's WotLK server, but he has crappy internet, so I lagged like hell. Doesn't help that he lives in another country either...

EDIT: k, figured out my microsoft C++ has to install completely first :P
After half an hour it's halfway through the second out of 6 parts....

EDIT again: And of course, it won't install... Yeah, I'm in Vista, but I'm running as admin too...
The microsoft .net framework 3.5 won't install, which means the parts after it won't either...

I mannaged to do a mistake:

At this stage:

"Look up in the toolbars at the top and look for a dropdown menu with the words "Debug" in them. Click the down arrow and set this to "Release". Then hit F7 on your keyboard. Leave it alone for a while. After it is done, close out and browse to the \src\scripts\scripts2008 file and open that. Set the build to "Release" like you did earlier and hit F7. "

I had it on "Debug" instead of "Release" the first time i went trough it. Will i have to do it over again then, and if i have to, what shall i delete before i start it over again?

EDIT: I tried again and the first build seemed to work (2 sucsessfull 0 errors 1 warning) but the second build ends with " Build: 0 succeeded, 5 failed, 0 up-to-date, 0 skipped"

What I make up out of this is that it is an server that lets you play deathknight, without really being a deathknight XD, you start at lvl 1, no spells at all, there are talents but u cant train them. Ycan go to Northrend I think? havent have the time to test that yet/...I really like it though that there is a ascent server that's compatable with the WotLK ALPHA, so +rep for that.

When I do it it doesn't work, "0 succeeded, 2 failed, 0 up-to-date, 1 skipped"...
