I read the tutorial and did everything to the teeth. But when i load the realm.exe and the world.exe i get these errors

this one is for the realm

Connection failed due to: Access Denied for user moocow @ localhost <using password: YES>/ one ore more errors occurred while connecting to the databases

this one is for the world

To be honest i read most of what I needed to according to your guide. So if you could PM me or post a line here with some help it would be much appreciated

i don't really know...change the passwords in your config files to the one u use in mysql. it has to work...

Well my server is starting up and everything...but when i'm making a character and i click create character i get disconnected instantly...

Ive had my server up and running, but after messing around with my ip's and crap. I am unable to connect to the server, but it shows up in the realm list... just stuck at logging into game server, any idea why?

You dont need to run realms, just logon and worlds.
If it dosent work then its in your configs

Hey! I wonder why logonserver starts normally, but world says, that "I am a newb and didnt read half of my.... blabla"? And as far as I know, I fixed everything so that it should be up and running. I have no idea what is missing here. Thanks. :wave:

I'm getting the same problem.

You have to go into your Ascent-world and delete those die commands
there should be two of them

I've done everything right and my logonserver.exe and world.exe are running correctly, but when I try to log in it says "Unable to validate game version. This may be caused by file corruption or interference of another program"? Can anyone help me please?

I'm guessing you dont have version 4.2.1 installed. Maybe a newer or older version?



Okay, I have done all of this and have followed it all to a T yet when I try to run the .exe's they still give the error saying the configuration is incorrect. I also downloaded the 2.0 .NET Framework from microsoft.com and it didnt help. Should I restart my computer after installing it? Dont know what else to try. Thanks in advance.

this is what I get when I try to start the logon C:\ascent\ascent-logon server.exe This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. same thing with the ascent-world any idea's what is wrong I deleted all the file's in my db folder except the map's and sql folder's and reextraced them again and still got the error I tried rebooting but that didn't do anything
