Zekter, you have the same issue. Make sure your logon config Listen host is your IP that is forwarded, and your IShost is your DNS.
That right there is the problem. This means your Logon config file isnt right. The logon IP needs to match that of the IP of the forwarded ports. IE if you forwarded ports on 192.168.1.100 your logon config files Listen Host has to be 192.168.1.100.
As to the question about your realmlists,
If the server is running off your own machine that you use to play, only YOUR realmlist is the IP address, everybody else who wants to connect makes their realmlist the DNS server.
And no, you dont add any PORT details to the realmlist, just
set realmlist your.dns.server
Thats it,
Cairi

I don't know if you people solved your realm list loop but this is how i solved it.
with the xx.xxx.xxx.xx being your chikenipCode:<Realm1 Name = "My Server" Address = "xx.xxx.xxx.xx:8129" Icon = "PVP" Colour = "1" Population = "0" TimeZone = "1"> <Realm2 Name = "My Server LAN" Address = "127.0.0.1:8129" Icon = "PVP" Colour = "1" Population = "0" TimeZone = "1">
you connect to the LAN if you are playing and running the server on the same pc

nice job CairiFEA. + rep
Sorry, was busy during the weekend
yes I did that, still has the same problem
ok dont know if this is important but let me explain my setup. I have 2 computers networked together, one doesnt have the video required to run the game so Im using it for the server, the other is where I play from...and right now I can get on from my second computer and log in and everything but no one else can get into the server...if I make the address change you suggested then they still cant get in and my second computer is no longer able to either
any ideas?

Alright, which computer is the gateway for the internet? Depending on how you set up your 2 computers connections you may be looking for a much more different way of going public.
Can you please go into more detail about your computer setup, ie
Servercomp wireless connection to internet
Playcomp connected to router via ethernet/lan
So I can get a better understanding of your configuration.
Cairi
well as for which is the gateway guess it dont matter, can change it to any I need, just tell me which it needs to be for this to work
its cable, not wireless both going to same router, ports all open and directed properly...I have worked with network stuff before, you can just tell me what it needs to be, can do any changes i need just not sure how its suppost to be...and just so we know where its set right now, as far as I know it was setup so both computers connect directly to the net, checked it just now to make sure but network connection info on both say they connect to the net through another computer....so I have no idea, sorry
This look shocking good but why noone said Ty, great job" or "thanks alot, really helped me"? Does this work after all? haven't tried yet, my pc at home is down for internet
I'll be honest seth, I haven't a clue how to configure that. The server computer has an IP addy (ipconfig should be like 192.168.something) and when you forward your ports, you should be able to forward it to that IP. Once your server comp is set up with the method above; your playcomputer doesn't need a whole lot, just mess with the realmlist.
Are the 2 on a Lan? (conected directly to eachother) or just via router?
if lan, that may need a diff guide. If just router you should just have to change your gamepc realmlist to your DNS server. If lan, possibly your servercomputers IP.
Sorry I couldnt be more help about that,
Cairi
well they are both on router, not lan...I will play with it, maybe I will figure it out...but thanks for all the help you got me farther then anyone else
Wish you the best SG,
Cairi
I did everything right and forwarded ports right because i checked but when i start the server it says unsuccessful to 8093 then it closes right away![]()
