Surprisingly, build 18522 is able to connect to the previous server, and the connection patcher works. You cannot create a new character, though, and all previously created characters seem to be put into a perma-drunk mode, making any screenshots blurry as hell. I hope this issue can be resolved in a future release!

Edit: Did some experiments. You can actually create a new character with the previous build's patched exe file, but will not be able to get into the game as they changed one of the db2 files, and the game will crash. Once you have a new toon created, though, you can use the latest build's executable with the connection patcher applied to it and then you can log in to the newly created character.

The only thing that is unknown is why the character gets stuck with the drunk effects turned on. My guess is that Blizz is just trying to prevent us from exploring the unfinished game - shouldn't be too hard to crack, seeing as King has gotten the connection patcher working very well.

Same for me. When enter the world its says interface lua error, and the screen is blurred.:confused:

Hey King, I love what you're doing here. I'm 14 years old and trying to learn pragramming. What would you say I should start off with? Which programming language is needed to do things like you're doing here?

What you're doing here is awesome, and in the future I want to be able to do some good things for the comminuty too. =)

Nice! A Mac sandbox using Mono I have a mac pro that I played WoW on from 2007-2011, still going strong. Did not ever think I'd see a sandbox running on that platform natively. Awesome work!
