I'd like to know if anyone is going to maintain offset lists for these pre-release binaries. It would probably be a good idea to start analysis of the binaries as time goes on, especially if they decide to lock down the client any further (having to do with the CASC stuff, anyway).
Is there a solution, if I may suggest. 1.) King tell us the build number which he want make a sandbox. 2.) We made a copy of the build in an another folder, in which the Battle-Net wont update.(For example I used my 18125 client with King sanbox today without problem, beside that in my retail wow beta folder the client updates every time to the latest the build - so I have two wow beta folder one retail and one for the sanbox) 3.) So we have a ready to work build when King finihed the sanbox, we can enter the world and have a fun. 4.) After a few weeks when Blizz update 2 or 3 builds which contain enough new content on the world then King tell us the build number which he would like to work with and everything starts again. What do you think King?

Yes, this is incoming to be messy, if the Blizzard keeps releasing new builds every few days.

    king48488, what do you think?

You can easily set the client to not auto update in the launcher. But I still don't believe Blizzard is altering that much each build and feel it's pretty likely that King and the others he's working with are trying to add extra features to the sandbox (UI features like the talent pane etc, ) rather than just leaving it simple causing a longer update time.

Well it's my understanding that if they're changing the opcodes every time they update a build, it's going to be a pain in the ... to constantly update the sandbox. This even without considering any extra feature to be added.

It's not King's responsibility to help you install it properly. His instructions are perfect and work well, as long as you are on a 64-bit machine. 32-bit will likely never occur, as it takes longer to organize. Upgrading is free, use a torrent or buy a 64-bit.

@King: Keep doing a brilliant work mate!

Well, if we all remain hopeful, maybe the Sandbox can be released this weekend.

The engine appears to be getting closer to their digital paintings from the concept stage of development. It also looks like they updated the skybox and fog/light values for the environments - perhaps we're getting closer to the beta than we may think. Hope that King is able to get us a semi functional sandbox to explore the game as it progresses in development. I'm personally maintaining an online backup of the game's files over time, so if need be, and if we ever have a proper casc file reader/opener/list, we can get the earlier versions of the maps and such.

Indeed. I expect a beta to start up.... probably late-May.

Also, I was an idiot and apparently updated my client to 18164 a few days ago without even noticing. Totally forgot that I did that.

So now the patient wait for the new sandbox version begins.
