Well, I edited GameObjectInfo.dbc, made a new patch for it but when I log in the game crashes and tells me that it was unable to read GameObjectInfo.dbc :<

Kay, got this problem in WoW for the DBC file:

Update:
Found the issue. Need to disable signature check and need a cleanly built MPQ v4 for this to work, with an (attributes) file. MPQ is a bit large because it contains duplicate files to make it work on most game versions.

A working SQL for SkyfireEMU is found here (unpack SQL with 7zip or similar)
You'll need to find the Wowpatcher for model edits which is somewhere on this forum, and patch your 4.0.6a EXE file with these options:
- Disable "signaturefile" checks (to make the patch load)
- Disable "Second socket at connection" (To be able to login to private servers)

I figured out how to do it for 4.0.6a! First, the number of columns in DBC files changed since WotLK so you have to add some, then it's necessary to patch WoW.exe with WoWPatcher(13623)pt to allow modifications of the game's files.
Server side, you have to put the edited GameObjectDisplayInfo.dbc in your dbc folder:

Client side, create a new MPQ file with a folder called DBFilesClient then add GameObjectDisplayInfo.dbc in it, put it in your Data folder (or is it in Data/Cache with another name? Not sure, I choose both :P)

Hi! I have a Patch made by some French fellows a long time ago, with most of the go´s of the classic and TBD.
I am trying to adapt it to Cataclysm, version 4.0.6 skyfire, but i fail at the conversion of the csv "gameobjectdisplayinfo" to dbc conversion.
Any help? I might share the patch with all the go´s for the version 3.3.5a

Edit: Paff what you have to do is check worldcongif file and look up for the line of the view distance of the gameobjects... just increase it, but look out, because it will require more memory for the server
