So... By saying YTDB is better than TDB, what do you mean? What I really care about is functioning instances. Such as Nax, Ulduar, ToC. ToCr, Forge of Souls, Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflection, ICC. Pretty much all the end game shit. Oh and the inclusion of bots, guild halls. Whats the difference between YTDB and TDB?

    For the most part
    Everything is spawned in ytdb
You will see most difference in instances
    functionality is by far supiorior
Ive been working on mating the core to ytdb

Geez, how hard is it for the mmowned people to create a good guide? No disrespect to the maker of this thread, but your guide has a few holes. I had to cancel this little project at step 6. When step 6 begins you suddenly begin talking about open Navicat and create databases. What I am then thinking is: "Navicat? You didn't mentioned this earlier! Did I downloaded Navicat? where is it? what is the command to create a database? Anyway, the guide is decent, but there are quite a few holes in it, like the fact to download the MySQL community server which isn't mentioned in the original post as far as I could see.

well I managed to download the Ultracore V3, And there's no way to just import that database into mysql. Basically that uses its own version of Mysql that you have to start and if you already have it installed... then what? How can I get the database from that version and import it to mysql that I already have installed? Thanks in advance.

Cs-WowD for Trin 333a released... Needs work!

Taken from the guide very first part and I quote:

    Quick & Dirty Install Guide

There are plenty of guides out there for the criteria mentioned above therefore make sure to have mysql, working, your cpu up to date and 3.5 .net framework installed, and Visual C++ 2008 SP1 at the very least.

You will know if you are ready to continue my guide if you can connect to your mysql server through Navicat.
Quick meaning not fully detailed. Dirty meaning holes and not perfect.
And of course I take no offense.

The guide has not been updated to reflect the most recent changes of this repack which was the dissemination of all files from 1 zip to many. This helps people who only want to download 1 part of the repack, say an updated core, rather than everything.

In the future, and when time allows, I'll definitely update the guide.
Otherwise you may just want to use Lorac's all in one server.exe as it has
everything you need to get your server up for the very first time.

On a side note, I have uploaded my most current customized version of CS-WoWD for 333a. The armory still needs more conversion to be fully compatible for Trin 333a and if anyone would like to contribute to that project please feel free to contact me here or on my forums/repo etc because I could really use some expertise fixing it.

Otherwise it will be fixed over time, as I can find the fixes.

To be fixed: Player proper stats crit etc / player skills / guild tab
The rest of it ( which is a ton ) works great, instances, search, items, quests, etc.

3D Model is also in and works perfect for 333a.

LOL, why are you guys talking about install MYSQL? Just download the UltraCoreRev3.exe and install it to C:\ultracore

Cant be easier than it is already.

    1. Run the UltraCorev3.exe and install it to C:\ultracore
    2. Go in the directory (C:\ultracore\server) and run the MySQL.bat
    3. Just go to the Core32bit or Core64bit w/e you want. (remember! you need to edit the configs for the 64-bit Core if you want to use it)
    4. Play and Have fun!

And you dont need to extract your own maps/dbc, its done already.
Here is the link to UltraCore Rev3 to download.
    Download!

    You Are Kidding Right?!
Do you not read the repo
    Theres an installer already made
It took me almost 8 hours to put it together

Its just like an AC repack for trinity

IMO People who want to run a server should take the time to learn about what they are running and READ what is supplied from the Core Developer

Again so you dont miss it

    DOWNLOAD THE PACK HERE!!!!

    @Furinex
The easiest way to grab the working db thats in the v3
Go to your taskmanager and kill the running instance of my sql
    Launch the provided mysql
    Go into the db using
    user root
    password ascent
    and Dump to sql world_ytdb

    Then
    Restart the pc
your default mysql will be back
    Log in
    Make a new DB
    batch it
And wala your done with world
If you use the newest core supplied with V3
Dont mess with the world db any more
But check and make sure you have applied
    8116_characters_groups
I am not sure what your last update was

As long as you have batched 8116_characters_groups in the past
then you are completely ready for the new core with the world_ytdb

    ::edit::
    Sorry for my rant
that was a major slap in the face
its like people cant take the time to read what is supplied
yet they cry about not having it like other repacks yet
    We offer that repack solution
I mean come on What the frig
Why would I spend so much time on supplying that luxury

And why is the Repo set up the way it is?
Because People want the ability to pick and choose
That option is not for those who just want it all handed to them
You will need to apply a little effort
Not everyone wants the same thing
So Options are there to change up their servers

Seriously? For all of the time it took Lorac/Pryd/others to put together one of the best repacks out there, a little self-initiative is not too much to ask.

Nice, I got the DB dumped and imported it into my current install of mysql. Very nice. I love the fixes. Few things I noticed in my testing. ToC is broken. The first stage works kind of, all the mobs have correct hps, but when they all get out there, they dont really attack unless you GM slap one of them, then after the first stage, the arena director doesnt allow you to start stage two, unless you go into GM mode and there's Another arena director guy that allows you to start it but that stage can only be seen in GM mode..

Most of the Icecrown instances are great, loot is there, all that is fixed. What I did notice however, is pit of saron's tunnel, there's suposed to be falling icecaps and such, and you're suposed to run through to the platform and drag all the guys with you or they respawn and own ya. well thats not the case. No icecaps, and you can pretty much take out the groups 1 at a time, makes the instance easy. Halls of reflection - all the mobs in the circular room are targettable now, which is a great change, but they shouldnt all be spawned right off the bat. And the script for that zone is either non-exsistant or broken. Lich king isnt fighting proudmore when you get up to that room, and he doesnt chase you down till the end. Another really easy instance which is suposed to be difficult. ICC looks really good so far, but I think there's no difference between 10 and 25 man. Morrowgar destroyed a 10 man group I took in there within about 5 seconds. Litterally cold flame wiped us completely without even having time to move, a bit OP. But other than that, the scripts looked really good.

Thanks again for a great repack however, lots of wondeful fixes.

Cant be bothered with this MYSQL Navicat crap.

I remember doing it back in 2006-07 and it was annoying.

If you wont do it for me i wont bother with this private server stuff.

All the private servers are shit anyway.
