    hope someone can solve my problem as i cant do it myself
    Thanks in advance, lucas
    Make sure your ports match in your configs and realmd.realmlist
    the problem is that the port you are using in trinitycore.config is
    1 not matched to your realm list
    or
    2 that port is being used
    Change your port numbers and Match them
    to eachother and i am sure it will work

    EDIT : Does this work in Windows 7 64 ?
    If you are installing from scratch you should only need to apply the char realmd and your world db
    I THINK!

    As far as i know it is compat with win 7
    just like anyother core Make sure you have vc runtimes installed or it will pose an error
    I think thats what its called

    @ 25cent i believe it was
    1-not all 3.3.0 and 3.3.2 items are in database
    Yes you are correct we have only retail sniffed items
    I have no reason to add fake items into the db considering the only things that are missing are from the 2 closed instances
    When these 2 open the items will be in db
    I rely on WoW sniffs for items and game object and npcs and so forth
    this is how we remain accurate
    to add the items and so forth with incorrect data would only create problems we already seen with YTDB and CTDB
    Remember 3.3.3a has only been out what 2.5 weeks?
    Theres a lot of work we have to do to make everything right
    Especially since the Client has totally changed its hooks and packets
    Future hotfixes will be issued as i can get them done

    Now import/restore/execute batch each of the databases that is supplied in the database folder
    inside C:\Trinity\Database to its respective counterpart inside your MySQL server.

    Im stuck at this step.. im not seeing the SQL files, cant find the C:\Trinity\Database. Where does this come from?
    come to look that download link was only 14mb, where did the file go?

    you must Dl the core and Database in 1 the complete file
    Or 2 you will need to dl the db if you just dl the core
    We made this pack so people really have a choice of what they want
    the file names reflect what they are

    Icc raid some problem: If using scouring portal,

    okay i tested this out with several ports and they all connect perfect to mysql, but the realmserver will only start up if realmport is set to 3724, why is that? i still get the same message from my trinitycore.exe but in the start it tells that it has connected to mysql.nt so what is the problem? i guess its not anything to do with my router since im using localhost atm. but if it is then please help me how to fix that

    i hope there will be a suggestion / solution on how to fix this weird message

    thanks in advance, lucas

    Hi Lucas! Welcome to Brother Iotech's Plain English Explanations (C)

    Maybe I can help you out a bit. As you've discovered, port 3306 is owned by MySQL. You want to leave it on that port, trust me. With this in mind, your realmd and core need to have their own ports. Commonly, port 3724 is used for realmd, but like you, I like to obfuscate that somewhat.. make it a bit more of a challenge to find me. So, we want to change the realmd port. Having been messing around with multiplayer games all the way back to the days of MUDs, MUSHes, and MOOs, I got to be handy with port numbers. here's a simple rule: if you want to arbitrarily assign a port to a program, pick one that is numbered above 10000 as it is less likely to be used for something else (that may be important). Here's an example from my realmd:

    Code:
    LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;mysql_username;password;realmd"
    RealmServerPort = 22222
    BindIP = "0.0.0.0"
    In this example, you see the first line is the database credentials: the IP address of the MySQL server (as seen from the realmd); the MySQL tcpip port (do yourself a favor and leave this alone); mysql username; password; name of your realmd databasse. Second line: default is 3274, but as I say, I like to change it up a bit. I use 22222. Lastly, BindIP tells the realmd what IPs to accept connections from, in this case everyone.

    Now, open up your trinitycore.conf file. Near the top find:
    Code:
    LoginDatabaseInfo     = "127.0.0.1;3306;mysql_username;password;realmd"
    WorldDatabaseInfo     = "127.0.0.1;3306;mysql_username;password;trinity_tdb"
    CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;mysql_username;password;characters"
    MaxPingTime = 30
    WorldServerPort = 8085
    BindIP = "0.0.0.0"
    Ok, again we have the datbase credentials, this time 3 lines(one for each database the core needs to talk to. Notice the port for MySQL is still 3306 as it should be. Now look at WorldserverPort. Mine says 8085 (the default is 8085). I dont think the cores need to have different port numbers because without a connecion being handed to it from realmd, the core will never accept a connection. i.e. they might know something is there, but not WHAT is there. Again, BindIP tells core who to accept connections from, with 0.0.0.0 meaning "anyone".

    Ok, heres the part youre probably missing: the realmd database, realmlist table. Open it up... the realmd.realmlist table has one row per realm you're running. Example:

    Code:
    1	ServerName	  serveraddress	8085	1	2	1	0	0	11403	mysql_username;password;3306;localhost;trinity_tdb;characters
    The first column is the realm ID. This MUST match the RealmID line in your trinitycore.conf (its the very first line). Column2 [Name]: Name of your server as it will apprea in the realm list when a user is selecting it. Column3 [server address]: the *external* IP or FQDN of your server (the dyndns name).
    Coluymn4[Port]: Here's the key; the port the trinitycore is listening on. MUSt be the same as the port you defined in the trinitycore.conf!!!
    Let's skip the remainder of the columns (they are irrelevant to this discussion) except the last 2 columns [gamebuild] and [dbinfo] -

    [gamebuild] - What you put here is the build of the client you wish to be able to connect to your server. The realmd will accept connections from several versions of the client, but will only offer to connect the play with cores whose "gamebuild" matches the player's client. In this manner, you can have 1 realmd serving up connections to multiple realms running different versions (and therefor you can support multiple client versions at the same time; a topic of discussion for another time).

    [dbinfo] - here are those database credentials again! Theyre arranged in a different order than in the conf files though so use caution! mysql_username;password;mysql_port;mysql_address;worlddb_name;characterdb_name

    The last (actually first) piece of the puzzle is the realmlist.wtf file. The SET REALMLIST line in that file tells the user's client where to start trying to connect. Example:
    Code:
    SET REALMLIST someserver.anynet.com:22222
    Here, I've used 22222 so it matches the example of the realmd.conf above... yours MUST match the port you told realmd to listen on.

    Summary:
    A player wants to connect. He/she runs the client, which reads the realmlist.wtf and obtains the address and port number of YOUR realmd process. The client connects to that address and port, performs authentication with realmd. Realmd offers to connect the client to a realm (trinitycore.exe) based on what it (realmd) sees in the realmd.realmlist table. The player selects a realm, and realmd passes the players network connection to the address and port defined in realmd.realmlist. trinitycore accepts the connection since it is from realmd, and the player is now able to create/choose a character.
    The process of connecting to and moving between all these server processes (mysql, realmd, trinitycore) and client, various addresses (may not all be on the same machine!) and ports (user-configurable to a point!!!!) is an unbroken chain - or needs to be. Any misconfiguration will break the process, rendering the connection impossible.

    i find your help very explaning and good to me but there is one thing i wonder:
    1 ServerName serveraddress 8085 1 2 1 0 0 11403 mysql_username;password;3306;localhost;trinity_tdb;characters

    where do you get the last part from? :
    mysql_username;password;3306;localhost;trinity_tdb;characters

    because that line is not in mine, and there is nothing named db_info in my realmd.realmlist
    so i guess this is the point?

    please more help :P your help is very user friendly

    Lucas,

    If the trinitycore.exe port you defined in trintiycore.conf is the same as the one in your realmd.realmlist table, then you have a port forwarding problem (if it isnt same, it needs to be). This is the 8085 port in the examples above.

    Lets say your server machine's local Ip address is 192.168.0.2, and this machine is running MYSQL, realmd, and trinitycore. You have a router, with an internal ip address of 192.168.0.1, and an external Ip address www.xxx.yyy.zzz. Its could be a dynamically assigned address, so you use dyndns (or similar) to get a hostname for this address.. for example myserver.somehost.net now points to your router's external IP address (www.xxx.yyy.zzz).

    In your realmlist.wtf file, you'd have
    SET REALMLIST myserver.somehost.net:xxxxx (where xxxxx is the port for your realmd).

    Since you can connect to realmd, you probaly went in your router and forwarded the realmd port (22222 in my previous example, 3724 by default) from the router's external address to your server (192.168.0.2). Well, now you need to do the same thing for your trinitycore.exe's port (8085 or whatever). Forward this port to your server (192.168.0.2) on the same port you specified in the trinitycore.conf and realmd.realmlist table (8085 by default).

    ----------------------
    If you have the port the same in both places, and your realmlist.wtf is right, and you have both ports forwarded in your router.. and still have this problem... then mysql is not working properly.
