Is there a faster way to fix the messed up sql database entry for the statgain on levels.

I have 30% lower stats than on live servers. While the same level mobs have the same or more hp than me, which is absolutely retarded. And as much as i want to change every level for every class for every race... well I think you can see where I am going.

Just trying to show my friends wow for free and now they think its like the hardest game ever when we need 5 people to finish off yellow quests at level 7.

i hope that i did that right.
PREPARE YOURSELVES NEWCOMERS. WE'RE GOING DEEP HERE.

Did you copy/paste the actual sql files into a folder?
    ( i'm assuming you did this) ^

    or

Did you use a SQL GUI program to update the actual logical database called 'Trinncharacters' ?

    ------

OKAY now if you did just copy/paste the files thats not going to work.

SQL and Trinity work in a logical form with some physical pieces. SQL files, Trinity core.exe and even the .dll files are physical if you will. Together with the help of programs they create the Logical portion of the server. Like Databases and the actual server world.

The Logical part is the Databases, The actually Server core. When you run Trinitycore.exe Trinity Realm .exe and even Apache and MySQL..they all create and assemble the Logical portion.

SO when you are dealing with updates to a database, You need a physical SQL file and a way to access this Logical part (database)...Download
    Navicat-Lite
Navicat Free MySQL GUI Lite - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com
    ITs free.

You use this to update the Trinncharacters database using those two SQL files you have.

Now if you need a step by step navicat setup, I'll do one tonight, a quickie for you

First turn on MySQL, so open this repacks Server folder and double click on the MySQL.exe application

    NOW in NAVICAT Lite

    Basically, create a new connection,

set the IP address as 127.0.0.1
*this is your internal IP of your machine*

    User: root
    Password: ascent

*note* the password is most likely ascent as it was for this repack but you would know had you changed it*

Thats it. Accept the changes (Hit OK)

Now double click the 127.0.0.1 that is on the left side of Navicat.
If you did install the server and such properly you should see 6 (six) new items in that list.

These are your database tables. (Databases) The server core reads these among other files to create the game world.

Back to the update at hand ok... You should see in the list of 6 (six) the name Trinncharacters. Double click it to expand the list. Now on the left you see more new options and on the right a LOAD of tables (data the game is made of)

Now ignore the right side for now..focus on the left and RIGHT-click on the Trinncharacters and click on Execute Batch File. Now a new window appears. Dont touch anything besides the 3 ... to select the file. Browse to the 01 sql character file you downloaded and select it. Then hit Start.

    Repeat for 02 SQL file.

There. All is good and the character DB is updated.

I hope this helps you Nirracca. Welcome to the WoW emulation community!! It's very fun and an interesting hobby. I enjoy it a lot and there is a wealth of knowledge about it here at mmowned.com. Moreso than other sites.

Not really. You could make a batch file for future updates or try to dl a sql update but thats messy. Personally I like it tougher. It gives WoW back a bit of the challenge it had in its early days.

    @Duci96

I had that also, I found i had to STOP apache. So..

    1. Open task manager and close the Apache program open. Even though your window is closed it sometimes is still registered in Process tab.

    2. Open Services for your PC and STOP the Apache service.

    3. Just double click the Apache-STOP file in the Repack Server Folder.

    4. Final option is to just reinstall the Apache folder from the repacks .rar

    HOPE IT HELPS!!

Any idea why i keep getting the error...

"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."

(I get the error for the realm.exe's and emu.exe's)

Mangos and ArcEmu both get the same errors. I've been at it for a couple weeks with no luck, and I cant find any answers on google. I've ran mangos and Antrix servers in the past and have never ran into this problem. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'm running Windows XP Home with SP2 and .NET Framework 3.5

Nevermind... I ran some updated from windows update and I'm not sure which one fixed the problem but it did.

Dude try with Net Framework 3.5 .

    @ Sheavi

*Warning* Do not delete any InnDB files you know which you are deleting*

I assume you mean your own installation of Mysql and not the one provided by this repack. Here's what you need to COPY from
C is whatever drive you extracted this repack to. You just want the mysql\data
    C:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\Server\mysql\data

copy that folder to your \data from your install. Now you should have the tables and databases in your personal MySQL intsall and not in the one from the repack. Copy only that DATA folder.

    **WARNING* BACKUP your data first.

AND check out the InnDB files for your MySQL...those might need deleting/remaking.

Sorry, i'm confused. I need these questions answered to clarify please.

    1. Are you trying to use the MySQL Application provided in this repack?

As in the MySQL.bat found in \AC Web Ultimate Repack\Server

    2. Are you trying to use YOUR own personal installation of MySQL and just want to IMPORT the repacks DB to your own structure.

    3. Are you looking for the default directory of the data as in "Data.Dir"= in the conf file, its the same folder for Trinity Core CONF file... it's the same directory as the trinity.conf file, trinrealm etc..

    In my case...

    D:\AC Web Ultimate Repack\TrinityCore2 Revision 4314 Update

    1. No, my own MySQL install
    2. YES
    3. No.

So, basically if you could explain me how to import these raw files into my own DB structure, it would make my day. I've been trying many things for hours.

    2. OK good, we'll get to this in a sec.

    3. Another Data folder you might be looking for is from the trinity.conf file which dictates a needed

    Data.Dir = "./"

Data in this case means vmaps, maps for LOS and Vmaps enabled. The folders need to be in your main Trinity Core root folder.

    -----

OK 2. So you want to install into your own SQL...ok SO open My Computer and try to find where you installed your MySQL...my guess C:\program files\mysql 5.0\data (it will be very similar to that. Maybe another subdirectory but you want to see that Data..i dont have a real version of MYsql installed anymore

Yes, I know for the config files. And I'll try for the mySQL DB right away.
