I can't see any sql files....

how am i suppose to get database....

I found the zzzworld, and zzzlogon

but how do I import these into navicat???

and mysql.bat not working for me.

I need the sql.

your database is there already, you don't need to excute anything since stoneharry has done it for you, all you need to do is close any instance of MYSQL open from ya task manager, then go to Stoneharry's repack and go to server and click the MySQL start, or if ya really want to run the db's on your own mysql setup, simply dump zzzwolrd and zzzlogon, they are both the world and the logon databases.

How do I make the server public? and how do i make new accounts? I already found the folder that tells me some account names and passwords.

Go into your database (root - ascent) go into accounts table (zzzlogon or somethng) go into the bit called "accounts", insert a new row and fill in the details. Self explanitory

First of all, thanks for all the help Stoneharry. I have the server running perfectly (or at least i assume so) just by reading all the comments and such in this thread.

However, can i get some links to some pages that could help me with the GM commands for this server type?

Also, i want to get back into custom coding bosses, what LUA would i have to use, cause i used to code in Ascent LUA back in 2.4.3.


--nvm LUA is still pretty much the same i see, also i found the commands on my own, just a few questions though...
How can i get into Ulduar?
Is Ulduar spawned?
Is Ulduar Loot added?

If no, no, this how can i get them?

ALSO, how can i enter instaces as an admin, it asks me to be in a group X_X

If its too much to answer its no big deal.

--- oh and BTW in case anyways is wondering im using the server on my 3.1.2(9901) retail client and its perfect.

As soon as I start up Mysql I get the error of:

And is unable to start

Getting an error on mysql start is either:
A: already have a different mysql server running or
B: not extracted to C:\ without naming folders.

You can get in Ulduar after applying the sql on the mainpost by walking in the portal at Storm Peaks. Currently there is nothing spawned in there, but thats simple because I could not find a database that supported it and other instances yet. If you go on the Aspire website (http://aspiredev.org) then you might be able to find a sql to spawn Ulduar. Another way into ulduar is to go into the worldmap_info table, find the map id for it, then do ".worldport mapid 50 50 50" (map x y z) which basically teleports you to that map. Change the coords till you get to a good location to explore.
To get in a instance/raid without being in a group do this:
.gm on
.cheat trigger
It should now let you in.
For a list of the commands do ".command" or go into the emulater server guides section and have a look for it there.

Ah thanks for that stone, I re-excrated into C:/ and that fixed the mysql problem, however when launching realmserver Config fails to open...

First, I don't have any MYSQL instances running, but it says MYSQL is already running. any of mysql.bat s aren't working for me.

AND SECOND, can you explain more about dumping zzzworld and zzzlogons??
how do i use MYI, MYD, frm files??

You need to press ctrl alt delete, go to the proccesses tab and check to see if theres anything along the lines of m-mysql.exe etc etc. If there is end them.
Go to C:\ and the repack (which you have not renamed the folders/file names of) and start mysql.
Once in the database, right click on the database you want to export, save as mysql dump, check "Sql" on the top right and name it to the file you want. Export and your done. Shutdown the sql server then start up your one, create a new database and restore from sql dump - target my file. If you get "mysql server has gone away" it's a long anoying error of not having enough allowed packets.
