Look, Death. Why dont you convert the NCDB to MaNGOS and make the repack with it? Its gonna be 100% better.

Sorry but I have bad news for you..
I've been working 3 days to fix all those fu**ing errors in ncdb web installer, changed db creation also to match the one in the repack I'm using (the original posted here for 9095, it's the most stable & complete atm), so I finally converted ncdb to mangos and all I can say is: PATHETIC!! too much time wasted for a db just full of bugs by far worst than fdb, the ONLY thing it has is northrend spawned, the rest is almost broken, it lacks quests, items, dk data, nearly everything :s, keep your mangos+fdb copy, it's the best wotlk emu atm

Thanks for the work and the tip, Pirata. I was thinking about doing this, but I will just stick with fdb for now. I have worked a lot of the bugs out of the version provided in the repack. I think it will be some time before anyone will have a WotLK db that doesnt produce copious errors, but the fdb is the best atm.

Ah, the good old days of 2.4.3 and UDB versions that loaded without errors. I asked my players the other day if they'd rather go back to 2.4.3 or stay with the 3.0.3 client and have some broken quests and spells... not one of them wanted to revert.

My WoW is updated till patch 3.0.3 (build 9183), but I didnt install the WotLK retail version.

Can I still use this latest repack? Or should I download and install the WotLK retail version first?

I want to set up a server for my private use only and be able to play as a DK too.

Sorry for being such a pain in the ass, but I am really a n00b...

The thing is, amazingly, I succeded in setting up a private server using DeathTrooper's instructions, BUT, when I enter the create accountname password, setcb accountname 2 and setgm accountname 3, I get the following:

CLI command under processing...
There is no such command

What is this? I know what it does, it doesnt create any account or set anything to it.

Anybody has an idea of what is happening and how I can solve this?

I had a problem with this as well. I went and read the entire thread. It's about 10+ or so pages back.

account create (insert username here insert password here)

Haven't worked with mangos for a year...any other GM commands changes guys?

What will make me happy is getting only a few spells working that fade when I attack (like my mage armor, warlock armor, pally buffs, etc.).

He doesn't release dbs, just take things together and make repacks, if u wanna dbs google for them.. BTW fdb is the best ATM and u will not have Northrend spawned form night to morgning so there is no need to change it until some time when they release a major upgrade..

I was actually playing DT's release off of TBC 9183 (was still downloading the installer and decided to try it out anyway). of course you can't access the wotlk stuff, but it still worked fine for everything else. i just set addon/expansion to 1 and was fine.
